CPC Cataclysm will see the end of teams and stables as we know it. Prodigy announced that the CPC will have a system set up where guys such as Euritar (the idea was his) can be allowed to display their strengths on a more or less level playing field.
Managers can only manage no more than two wrestlers, a tag team, a male and female, or just one male. No two men who are not a tag team can be managed by the same person.
Prodigy also stated that anyone violating these rules will be suspended and possibly fired. He declared that wrestlers must be a tag team or singles competitor where at least 60% of their matches to be fought in that division. Prodigy then turned around and informed Euritar he will be in the Cruiserweight division. Euritar upset attacks Prodigy and gets himself suspended.
Card List:
Crucible Romulus Taurine Dante Thayne Mensar Euritar Gunnar

That looks petty cool!
I think that will fit in very very well although I do not like the "no two men that are not a tag team" at a first glance; it will be interesting to see how things play out.

Will be hard keeping track of everyone. I'm not going to be getting CPC for a while due to financial constraints, so I hope those who get it have a blast.

That's an interesting concept. how does this affect the OFC? Who will Barnabas not manage? One answer=a thousand questions. can't wait untill I get my promoter.

Really not sure I like this idea...at least at first glance. What effect will this have on guys like Jesterelli or Barnabas? I can't see Barnabas just ditching his "wife" AND Rubicon just so he can manage Darwin's Legacy. However I don't see him doing it the other way around either. And All the World's a Stage is my favorite group! Seriously I don't see how this is going to work, but I'll buy the set....might just have to change the rules after though. Big Time

Adam, I think you're looking at things the wrong way. Think of all the intrigue that can come from this. Yeah it's hard to see Barnabas leaving someone... but he HAS to! Awesome! who's going to be left out and who's going to be mad at who for leaving blah blah... some awesome possibilities!

I don't doubt it does bring up some interesting questions, and yes the intrigue level will be high, butmy initial gut reaction to the idea is to be against it. But I'm not saying Mark couldn't somehow win me over with his excelent writing or something, I'm just saying that as of this moment... Big Time

Rubicon hinted at not following orders anyway.
He will be gone from Barnabas' team

Only one new guy and no upgrade for Ahnu? I would have bought the set just to bring Ahnu into my LOW fed since me's my favorite CPC wrestler. Oh well it sounds interesting anyway.
Take care,
Jay

Rubicon hinted at not following orders anyway. He will be gone from Barnabas' team Yeah, I see Barnabas sticking with Darwin's Legacy, Rubicon and Desdemona going off on their own, and Puma being set free. Interestingly, Gila has a tough choice: go with a tag team (likely involving Hanuman, but his teammate could be anyone), or keep Mollock near Willow. As far as the OFC goes, I'm very intrigued to see what Mark does with them. I think we can pretty much assume that Dominator and Velar will travel together, but after that it's anyone's guess. Queen will probably choose to manage Gunnar, since he would be in the most need of guidance. Zed will naturally take this the wrong way. Overall, I really like the idea. I'm already doing something similar with my own fed (which reminds me... I have a major card to roll out today), but not as strictly. I'm allowing each manager/group one female and up to three males; some have a tag team, others have three singles (the OFC group is an exception as per the "dysfunctional family" rules).

I think it's cool. With that said, CPC 2121 will no different than any other CPC set Mark has ever produced, if, in the end, the art work is not phenomonal...
The art has always been the biggest CPC weakness and I've heard Mark swear this year's crop won't be the same old thing...
I'm actually more excited about the art than I am about anything else in this set. Can't wait to see Mensar, Euritar, Taurine, Romulus and Prodigy (if there is a SE).

Well, in speaking with Tom when he visited LA he said that Daryl will be doing the CPC set. So the art will be awesome.
And I like the storyline idea. It doesn't just open up possibilities of new feuds, but it actually makes CPC feel more like an independent company where the "heel/face" thing isn't as set in stone.

I'm actually all for this, as I started breaking teams apart when playing CPC before. Although, since I no longer follow the books and run a fed based on a 3 federation, things could get interesting.

'S'truth. We've already started. It's looking great thus far, but we're still early. Don't go bugging me just yet!
I will say that the "shot" of the Euritar card is something not done yet in any COTG card that I can think of, and it makes me wonder why it took so long...

I love the idea of dissolving teams and leveling the playing field. This will truely give the cpc an independent fed feel. It's a throwback to the ecw glory days where you could see anybody going aganist anybody.Plus the management decisions will make for good storylines and set up good feuds.

if you've notice , even the GWF has a lot more " unaffiliated " wrestlers than ever before. it's a good idea.

I am a big fan of this as I don't use the team theory in my fed anyway, unless it works with my storyline.
I cannot wait for this. Does anyone know the date if might come out?

All I can tell you about release dates is we're shooting for mid-November at the latest. It all depends on production, of course. I don't want it to get too close to Thanksgiving and the holiday shopping rush. Buy early and often!
There will be better updates as we get closer. But I can tell you the artwork is coming along swimmingly, and I've all but finished the writing. (Haven't done much on the cards yet other than ratings and finishers.) But on that end, things are good.
Glad to see some enthusiasm for this concept, as I was hoping there would be. Trust me when I say that a shakeup is coming the likes of which has never been seen. Stay tuned...
