Now this isn't because Kennedy is one of the leading Dems in the Senate, but more because he is a douche of a human being. I would wish a GOP guy the same fate for pulling the shit Ted Kennedy did at Chappaquiddick with Mary Jo Kopechne. But is this sweet justice for him pulling that stunt and getting off scot free? I saw yes.

You're the first person I thought of when I heard the news.
I just figure whatever he did in the past, he knows he'll have to answer for soon enough. It's up to him to deal with that either before or after he's gone.
And even though I think Bush is responsible for a lot of bad stuff, too, I don't wish brain cancer on the guy.

I agree that he's a slimeball and got away with murder -- but I'm with Mark's sentiment -- I don't wish brain cancer on him. The way I see it -- he'll pay for his sins in the end. But I wouldn't wish this sort of illness on him.

While I don't wish harm on anyone, you can't help but think there's some cosmic justice goin' on here.

Meh. The odds are at least somewhat decent that some sort of big C/heart trouble/cirrhosis would catch up with him someday, same as with us all.
I'm honestly not a karma guy. I just figure the Golden Rule is good enough to live by, and hopefully that works for most cases in one's life. Ted Kennedy hasn't always used that rule, though.

Yeah, that's why I mentioned cirrhosis. I would've put even money on that being his downfall instead.

I'm with everybody saying people shouldn't wish brain cancer on everybody. I don't really keep track of Ted but I always remembered when one time he was drunk he cause a death of a lady in the car with him cause he drove the car into a ocean or lake or something. Shows you all how political I am

I don't really keep track of Ted but I always remembered when one time he was drunk he cause a death of a lady in the car with him cause he drove the car into a ocean or lake or something. Shows you all how political I am It's not really because of his political beliefs I would wish it upon him...it's his disdain for human life and what he did with Mary Jo Kopechne. If he would have made an honest attempt to even save her, I would cut him slack. But for what he did...that's beyond despicable.

Well, when I was at school in Massachussets, I remember people referring to John Kerry as the "good" senator. Tells you what they think of Teddy K.
But dude, saying Ted Kennedy deserves to have brain cancer is like hoping that George W. Bush gets assassinated. (Random fact: ever since William Henry Harrison won the battle of Tippecanoe, Tecumseh's brother "cursed" the U.S. government by saying that Harrison would die in office once he was elected president... and that every president elected every twenty years thereafter would also die in office. Harrison was elected in 1840. Every president elected in a year ending in "0" has died in office since then, with the exception of Reagan - who survived an assassination attempt - and currently Bush. The only reason why I bring that thought up).

I agree Ted is a slimeball but I dont think there's any reason to wish him harm or bad luck because that family seems to be a magnet for all sorts of bad things. Here's a list I found on the web but keep in mind its not complete because it doesn't include JFK Jr.
The Royal Family of the United States has had many great moments in this country's history, but as the years go by, some of it's people have pass on. It was either their time or a tragedy struck. Many poeple in the Kennedy family have passed, and it seems that they follow the curse of tragedies that has taken many members of this famous named family
Rosemary Kennedy- In 1941, she went under medical testing to find a cure for her mental illness. The tests didn't work and she got institutionalized, where she's been all her life.
Joseph P. Kennedy Jr.- The eldest child of Joe and Rose, Joe Jr. died at the age of 28, flying a bomber loaded with dynamite. He crashed into a Nazi V-2 Rocket site in France in 1944.
Kathleen Kennedy- On her way to France in 1948, the weather was bad, but she wanted to leave. The plane later crashed, taking her life at 28.
Patrick Kennedy- Born six weeks early in 1963, little Pat never made it to his third day.
John F Kennedy- As the 35th President of the United States, John was gunned downed in 1963, in front of the world at the age of 46.
Robert F Kennedy- At the age of 43, Robert was trying too fill his older bother's steps at the White House. It all came crumbling down when he was shot and killed in 1968.
Edward Kennedy- After surviving a plane crash in 1964, Ted drove his car off a bridge in Chappaquiddick Island on July 19, 1969, killing Mary Jo Kopechne.
Joseph Kennedy- Son of RFK, crashed his car in 1973, permitly paralyzing Pamela Kelley.
Edward Kennedy JR.- In 1973, at the age of 12, Edward Jr. lost his right leg to cancer.
David Kennedy- At the age of 29, David died of a drug overdose in 1984.
Patrick Kennedy- In 1986, was treated for a cocaine addiction.
William Kennedy Smith- In 1991, William was acquitted of rape charges.
Jackie Bouvier Kennedy- Died in her appartment in 1994. The former first woman was 65 and had cancer.
Michael Kennedy- A skiing accident at the age of 39, took his life in 1997
