Exo-King/King Lear Massacre Actagon Brute Proteus Pulsar/Prime Bishop Hell Battering Ram/Ram Incredible Badger Spike Billy Jo Boxer The Galactic Punisher/Vigilante Bounty Hunter/Killing Machine Tongsoon/Soldier of Fortune Solaris
My fed notes:
The ANI-MEN
Incredible Badger: 4-time GWF Tag-Team Champion 5-time I-P Tag-Team Champion one-time Six-Man Tag-Team Champion
Battering Ram: 3-time GWF Tag-Team Champion 3-time I-P Tag-Team Champion one-time Six-Man Tag-Team Champion one-time Television Champion
First off is one of the all-time great tag-teams in federation history. The Ani-Men. Specifically, the Incredible Badger and Battering Ram. This duo dominated the competition throughout their stellar careers.
Badger and Ram are former 3-time GWF tag-team champions. To win the belts, the Ani-Men defeated the Greek Gods, the Gladiators, and Titan Power. All three of those teams are in the Hall of Fame. They ended the Greek Gods record run as longest reigning champions. They had nine title defenses in the three reigns, holding the belts for a total of 49 cards. Badger and Ram won the first ever Iron Team Tournament, at Galacticade ‘90. The added a third Iron-Team Tournament victory two years later, when the format expanded to 10 teams. Badger added a fourth GWF tag title when he teamed with Proteus to defeat the Gladiators.
The Animal Pack beat the Norse Gods in the finals of an 8-man tournament to become the first ever Interplanetary Tag-Team champions. Badger and Ram would win these titles two more times. Their first I-P tag title regin ended after they unified the belts with the GWF tag titles. Badger twice won the I-P tag titles with Proteus, and simultaneously held the GWF tag belts a second time with the Greek God.
Badger and Ram also teamed with Wolf and held the GWF Six-Man tag-team titles on one occasion. They beat the greatest Six-man combination of all-time, the Gladiators.
In singles action, Ram had slightly better success than his partner. Ram is a former GWF Television champion, defeating Bishop Hell for his lone singles title. Badger knew he wasn't a great singles wrestler, so he never concentrated on that. He did compete briefly in the Light-heavyweight division.
Exo-King/King Lear: 3-time GWF Heavyweight Champion 2-time I-P Heavyweight Champion 2-time TV Champion one-time Steel Cage Champion 3-time GWF Tag-Team Champion one-time Six-Man Tag-Team Champion
The Exo-King, later going by the name of King Lear, was a staple in the GWF top 10 rankings and title picture.
He is a three-time GWF heavyweight champion, and the first to ever hold the title in my federation. He showed his intestinal fortitude when at the end of his career as King Lear, he won the heavyweight title, Interplanetary title and Steel Cage titles simulatneously, and then fitingly retired.
He was a two-time I-P champion and one of the rare individuals to hold that title along with the GWF belt. Exo-King twice wore the TV title and the steel cage title once.
He was no stranger to tag-team competition either. The King wore the GWF tag belts on three occasions, twice with his favorite partner Killer Queen. He had the Six-man titles once with Thantos and Bishop Hell.
PULSAR: one-time GWF champion one-time TV champion one-time I-P tag-team champion one-time Six-man tag-team champion
Titan Express, the Dragonmaster and Pulsar, etched their names into the list of tag-team greats. This duo was one of the longest standing combinations, and always in the thick of the tag-team title hunt. However, only one time did Titan Express win gold together, that being the Interplanetary Tag-Team titles. They defeated Actagon and Lord Nexus before losing the belts to Bishop Hell and the Mad Jester.
In addition to holding the I-P tag titles with Dragonmaster, Pulsar was a six-man champion with Lord Nexus and Billy Jo Boxer. In singles action, Pulsar won the TV title by beating Spike, and is a former GWF heavyweight champion after defeating Wolf.
MERCENARIES: 5-time GWF Tag-Team Champions 1-time Six-Man Champions
Galactic Punisher: 2-time GWF Tag-Team Champion 3-time Interplanetary Tag-Team Champion
Tongsoon: 2-time Interplanetary Tag-Team Champion
The Mercenaries. Vigilante and the Soldier of Fortune had a long and storied career in the GWF. Both of these men began their wrestling careers with different names and personas.
Vigilante debuted in 2089 as the Galactic Punisher and embarked on a 20-year career. Teaming with Justice as the GalactiCops, he won the GWF tag-team titles twice. He also was a three-time Interplanetary tag-team champion, with one of those reigns with the Star Warrior as his partner. During his time as an intergalactic enforcer for the hero team, he did not actively seek out championships, and never held a singles belt. The Galactic Punisher did, however, win Battle Bowl: The Lethal Lottery. After winning a tag-team match with his randomly drawn partner Matador, he emerged victorious in a double-ring battle royal.
The Punisher changed his image and name to Vigilante when he joined forces with Krakan in the Hitmen for Hire. He started a team with the Soldier of Fortune, and the Mercenaries went on to a stellar career. The Mercenaries captured the Galaxian tag titles on five different occasions. Along with Splatter, they garnered the Six-Man belts once.
During the Mercenaries run at the top of the tag-team division, they came back after a first-round defeat at the 32-team Double Elimination Tag-Team Terror Tournament to win the trophy. They also won the Six-Man Seizure Tournament.
The Soldier of Fortune also has a lot of history in his career. He entered the GWF as Tongsoon in the same year as the Galactic Punisher. Tongsoon also went into tag-team competition, forming the Alien Corps with Dreadnaught, who was then known as Comrade Terror. Although known as a tag-team wrestler for his entire career, Tongsoon, ironically, tossed the Galactic Punisher to win the first ever Royal Rumble.
The Alien Corps would win the Interplanetary tag-team titles on two occasions, beating Titan Power both times for the belts. Tongsoon and Comrade Terror still hold the record for the longest I-P tag-title reign in GWF history.
After Tongsoon lost a Torture Chamber match to his former partner Dreadnaught at Galaxian Bash ’92, he was forced to enter the Transevolver and be turned into a human. He then joined with Krakan in the Hitmen for Hire, and formed the Mercenaries with Vigilante.
