Incredible Badger by himself was one of the greatest tag team wrestlers in the history of my personal COTG fed as he won multiple tag team titles alongside both Battering Ram as Animal Pack and also alongside Iron Mane as Beasts of Burden. Right. But part of the problem is that while Incredible Badger was one of the greatest tag specialists of the early years, he did not stay consistently with one team. The team Animal Pack itself did not stay as one cohesive unit for a very long time, and rarely received top billing as the GWF's top tag team. Animal Pack, as the team of Battering Ram and Incredible Badger, stayed together for a little bit longer than the Dorado Sundown, but didn't have near the impact of the latter in GWF lore. They were worthy contenders to the Gladiator Dynasty, but in the end the fact is that they were just another notch on the Gladiators' belts (immediately following the Greek Gods - another debate for another time). They were good. They were damn good. But were they the best, or merely the very good? If promoters were asked to rank the top five tag teams of the years 2087-2100, where would Animal Pack rank in the top five? Should those years even include five tag teams as representatives in the Hall of Fame? Should the baseball hall of fame only include first-balloters that were truly the cream of their crop like Cal Ripken Jr. and Tony Gwynn, or do we allow guys with a couple of good years like Ken Caminiti and Mo Vaughn to be inducted with them as well? Are Fred McGriff and Jose Canseco worthy of Cooperstown? Just trying to keep the ball rolling, folks.

I think I would still vote for Animal Pack because, even with just the tandem of Incredible Bager and Battering Ram, they indeed were that impressive in my fed. Given the years of 2087-2100 that were suggested in the previous post, the only tag teams that accumulated more success for me were Brute and Massacre, New Order, and the Mercenaries. Not even the Greek Gods or Titan Power did as well for me (but the Cosmic Forces came close).

I have no problems with the other three teams that you listed (Brute & Massacre, New Order, and the Mercenaries). I'm just going to make Animal Pack work for their spot in the HOF.

First of all Fred McGriff is HOF material. 493 HR, top 25 all time in RBI and BB plus one of 2 people to ever win a HR crown in the AL and NL plus the only person on Baseball to homer in every park. Plus with the steroid scandel he is quickly gaining momentum.
Now that my Mcgriff rant is done. Badger was pivitol in both those tag teams he captured both the GWF and I-G titles with Ram and Mane along with the I-G singles and TV title for me. He carried both these teams, so maybe he makes it in but the other two guys are just a foot note.

Plus with the steroid scandel he is quickly gaining momentum. Ha. I knew someone would make the argument for McGriff. Anyone else for Mo Vaughn? Anyway, Mike, I do think that Incredible Badger has a fair resume to be considered for the HOF. He was innovative in that he had the tag finisher that made him stronger as an offensive tag wrestler that has sort of defined the role of the tag team specialist in this game. However, as you have stated, his tag team partners seem like mere footnotes on his resume as Badger was the one who carried both Battering Ram and Iron Mane. Do Animal Pack and/or Beasts of Burden (the teams) deserve to be inducted together? You could make much more of a case to me for why Battering Ram should be in there... than Iron Mane. Battering Ram was mired in mid-card status for me once he joined that Occult group. I always thought that he had an underrated singles career too, as an upper mid-carder and IP champ. But as a wrestler on his own credentials? Not so much. Battering Ram would have been wiser if he stuck with Badger if he wanted to truly be remembered for his accomplishments in the GWF. As for Incredible Badger, there may be some sympathy votes for people who would induct Animal Pack (with Ram) into the HOF to make sure that Incredible Badger has a spot in it. What about making a case to induct Incredible Badger alone, as a tag team specialist and member of two successful tag teams - but without the induction of his partners that did not team with him long enough to merit consideration as a package deal?

Ram for me held the GWF heavyweight title...for 1 card. He beat Pulsar Prime who had upset Spike. Ram had won a battle royal at Wrestle Test IV and that enables him to challenge any champion. He was going to challenge Massif the I-G champ but when Pulsar won the title well Ram took his shot and won. Spike crushed him in the rematch and Ram has never been the sam for me. He was an average singles wrestler with the ability to pull off an upset here and there but he couldn't maintain a prolonged run at a title. Same goes for Iron Mane if he wins a title it is only for a few defences.
Badger held 2 singles at the same time through a title vs title match and he defended the TV and I-G titles for 8+ cards each. Not bad for a tag guy.
Neither Ram or Iron Mane has captured any tag gold with any of their partners after Badger retired. Proving to me that Incredible Badger lived up to his nickname of "Incredible" since he carried two midcarders to gold.

I like Badger, I really do, and honestly, he's overachieving in my fed right now (finishing 2090), but I think what we have to be careful of is how we select tag-teams in the HOF. Badger was a great tag-wrestler, so I can see Badger getting inducted because of HIS career accomplishments, many of them tag oriented. But should Iron Mane and/or Ram get to ride his coattails into the hall too? To me, a HOF tag-TEAM are the kind that have great success AND longevity to them. Satanic Cult (Bishop Hell and Thantos) might have been a tough team, but as a team, are they HOF material? I think not. HOF Teams to me are guys like Brute/Massacre or the New Order, guys who were together for a while and achieved the success required for the hall.

No bootlegs should be in the HOF. These should be all characters that have been officially released by Filsinger Games. I agree 10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000%
