So, I'm having trouble finding the best Ranking system for my fed. For my GWFZ I use the Cetus Committee because I feel that's who'd judge the up and commers. But I just haven't found one that ranks the wrestlers in an order that appeals to me.
I know we have the descriptions of what each committee looks for but I guess I'd like a clearer defined breakdown of those rankings. Perhaps I'm entering in the match endings in a way that isn't read by tracker. I'm not sure. Just looking for advice.
For example, on 12.31.2121, was my final card of the year. On that card Epoch won the heavy metal title. He's since disappeared and the title's been vacated. There's been 10 cards since than, with other fantastic matches, yet, no matter what rankings I use, Epoch is alway highly ranked. Also Monolith has beaten everyone, he's the Galaxian Champ yet in most of the rankings he's rarely ranked first.
Anyway, which committees do you guys use?

For the aCe, I use Nemean. He's my boy. For my GWFZ fed, I've been using the Cetus Committee, because that seems appropriate. However ...
I've noticed that the personalities that put emphasis on the title belts put a little too much emphasis on the title belts. Pride's dominating the GWFZ for me and he's way out in front of everyone in the rankings, which is appropriate because he hasn't lost, but it's just a smidge too much for my tastes. So I'll use your post as the impetus to tweak those a little bit in the next update. The personalities will still basically be the same, but the title bonuses won't be as extreme, and I think I'll tweak down their memories a little bit, as well.
I'm also going to add belt prestige into the mix next time, too. A GWF Championship victory should count for more than the Heavy Metal title, in my opinion, and the new belts will reflect that.

I've also noticed that there's no way to distinguish things like when I used Paralyze in singles, because Havoc was hurt. It was nice to have him in the rankings, when I used him in singles, but now that he's back in tag action I get tired of seeing him in my top ten, knowing he's not going to wrestle singles again. That might be a feature to look into some day, because I like to seperate my groups, right now I have 14 Singles and 10 Tag Teams vying for those titles and barring injuries they won't overlap. Perhaps a rankings system that allows for the promoter to distinguish who's in each or at least excluse people you only use part-time.
As far as the question at hand...
In aCe I've been rotating which rankings I use, each card comes from a different rankings group, since I see aCe as a treaty between the warring groups. They each get a turn to do the rankings, within reason of course.
In GWF, I use none of the rankings, because I honestly like my own system better. None of them that I used on there seemed to fit what I was looking for and I'm not really sure why.

I've got the framework for it in the database already, I've just got to code the tools to actually let y'all use it. The AI portion of tomorrow's update will make them a little more forgetful - this will see inactive wrestlers drop off of the rankings much more quickly. That should alleviate your problem somewhat. |

In the aCe fed, I use whichever planet's commitee that the fed currently is on...e.g. Aegis & Murdok is for Centra, Nemean for the Mother ship, etc.
In the GWF, I use the Commissioner Massif system...unless I get a wild hair up the backside and live on the wild side...then I will chose another one...
