Match quality doesn't currently figure in for the winners. It's only considered for the losers as a way to soften the blow of the loss. "Yeah, Aegis lost, but he lost a ***** classic rather than getting squashed, so his loss doesn't hurt him as much as another guy." As Wildfire mentioned, though, some rankers take this very heavily into consideration because they're workrate marks *coughNemeancough*, others don't take it into consideration at all, and most are somewhere in between. For winners, a win is a win, by and large. Whether or not you squashed the guy in 10 seconds or eeked out a win in 60 minutes, you still pinned his shoulders to the mat. DQs and countout victories are given a penalty in the rankings, because they shouldn't count as much. As with everything else in the ranking formula, this weight is different from ranker to ranker, sometimes vastly so. The Prestige of the match is a way to "weight" the match if you think that it should be worth more than another match, but that affects both people. If y'all want, I can just as easily add in a "Win Quality" switch in there, too, which would function as a weight, just like Prestige does, but only for the winners. It'll obviously default for each match and if you choose to ignore it, no big deal, but it'll be an option for people who want to use it. Be forewarned, though, that Nicodemus still isn't going to give a crap about the manner in which someone won or lost.

I think it depends on how you're using for the rankings.. the Nemean show guys definately weight reputation and how good the matches were heavily (a couple cards ago they had Aegis 3rd even though he was 1-3) I THINK Nicodemus doesn't consider it at all (Aegis was like 14th or so at that point on his)... maybe you just need to use a different ranker? Incidently, I'd imagine the style differences are less signifigant the more your play. You're probably right...I'll need to do some more experimenting.

You're probably right...I'll need to do some more experimenting. Wildfire's estimations of Nicodemus and Nemean's various ranking styles are fairly accurate. They're both very extreme in how they make decisions. You'll find all of the others to be more middle of the road. The CPMN is meant to be the baseline of the rankings, and should give the most logical results. And if not, then they're getting tweaked. ;D

Yes, count me in. Another thing it helps with is if you really want to give a guy a push for some reason and you want that to be reflected in your rankings. Say I'm a HUMONGOUS Sectarian mark and I want to 'help' him into some title contention (not that the great Sectarian would need my help), well then I could give his wins a little more, oomph, shall we say. BDS EDIT: Implemented in 1.10

Is it possible to get a longer "session" I logged in and set up a card then went and rolled it out with real dice. I went to enter falls in after each match and had to re-login. Yes, but for technical reasons, not until the Game Table launches.

After selecting a data set, it'd be cool if there was a link to select active federation on that page instead of clicking back to Setup, then to Set Active Federation, so you can view someone else's feds. Would just save a few clicks. Shouldn't be necessary come the 25th, provided I accomplish everything that's on my checklist. I'm planning on putting in drop-downs on that upper menu, so that when you roll over the choices, a menu will fall out with all of the individual choices on it that you have to click to get to now.

The support of one fan and the fact that I like the idea are good enough to get this one some legs. You'll have it on the 25th.

Okay, time for an Anal Moment: Could we please..PLEASE..get the simulator's match rating (ex: 3.00 stars) to match that of the results entry rating (ex: ***) PLEASE?! It is driving me absolutely crazy..I would prefer the 3.00 stars in the results entry if I had my way...Pretty please? Thank you. We now return you to your regularly scheduled programming. BDS EDIT: Not yet implemented

we need the ability to print out multiple fight cards, perhaps even years at a time
BDS EDIT: Not yet implemented
I'd like to be able to print out color cards. Hey, I like color.
BDS EDIT: Still in discussion

When adding fighters to custom rosters it would be nice if the guy you just added disappeared from the 'available' list so you don't have to keep running through the same guys all the time. On a large list I start to forget who I've added and not added since the list is not actually right there to look at.

It would also be neat to see the Champ ranked separately from the other guys. Maybe a (ch) or something in place of the #1 ranking...then the #2 guy would change to the #1 guy and so on. Then you actually have the champ separate and a true "#1 contender".
This is usually how I see all the wrestling mags, as well as our very own promoter rankings, doing it.

Especially since the Champ is not always gonna be #1... great idea!

How about some sorta global stat page for when you click on the guys under the global rankings..
A complete list of EVERY match would be a bit much, but maybe the profile stuff with wins, losses, titles held, etc.

How about a way to edit the card itself....change the name or the date of the card.
It can be very easy to do a typo....but could be very easily fixed with an edit button
Chris
BDS EDIT: Implemented in some previous patch that I don't remember the number of ... lets say pre 1.20 for slightly less vagueness.

It'd be cool if there was a way to create a custom Championship Committee as I've yet to find one that ranks close to the way I have developed in my feds over the years. Like we can assign points to certain wins, types of losses, match quality, etc.

I'd like to at least have an option to rank more than 20 guys. Personally I'd like to see everybody ranked...this is how I pull guys for my Interplanetary belt.
