When can we expect a demo? A demo for the Game Table Area will be available prior to the launch of that portion of COTGonline. We expect to get the Game Table launched some time between now and Galacticon...and NO LATER. At that time, the GWF New Beginnings pack will also be available. ~ :-Xsk

I have been lurking and waiting. I only play LOW right now but am interested in this! If I order this now, will I be able to start a promotion? I don't own any aCe or GWF cards.

You can certainly use the Stat Tracker to enter your own wrestlers, however all features certainly provide the best results (no pun intended) when using the digital versions of the sets provided. If you get the Launch Package, you'll get access to all three aCe game editions, however only the new set aCe: 2121 Ultimatum is formatted to be printed out. Unfortunately, since the Game Table Area (where matches are actually played out in single or two-player mode) will not be available at this point, matches and cards would need to be 'rolled out' using traditional paper and dice. Hope this answers the question. ~ :-Xsk

Previously it had been said there would be a demo of the stat tracker so we could see how it worked (at least I'm pretty sure I remember that). Is that still the case (if it ever was)? I still have no interest in the game area, but am very interested in the stat tracker and would like to see it in action.
Also, when will the separate components be available individually?

I still have no interest in the game area, but am very interested in the stat tracker and would like to see it in action. Also, when will the separate components be available individually? Well on the original schedule (that being us releasing both the game area and the stat tracker together), that might have been the case. I'd actually have to defer that to Larry to answer. I do know that when the decision was made by Tom to get the aCe 2121 edition out far enough before GWF 2122, we changed the overall development plan and focused completely on the Stat Tracker, adding new components and fine tuning existing ones. That new plan definitely changed timeframes around and is most likely the reason we didn't get a 'walk through' or demo of the Stat Tracker up. If you don't check it out in this intitial pre-order phase, I understand, hopefully Promoter word-of-mouth is strong and you decide to give it a try. As for seperate components being available, Game Table/ Stat Tracker, and then GWF pack, aCe pack, that would be sometime between now and Galacticon. And again, BY Galacticon, all four of these components will be ready. ~ :-Xsk

Will we be able to purchase JUST the stat tracker? That's really the only portion of this that I'm interested in buying. All of us that want "only" one section needing to wait until July? Wow, not to be a bummer, but seems like a lot of hype followed up with a lot of changing and waiting. Gets kind of discouraging!

No, I'm saying that when I'm told something, I expect it to happen. How many times were we given a "it's coming in March" "April, here we come" "Early May" "May 25th is THE day" "Pre-order your cotgonline May 25th, because May 28th is THE day!" (but just for the first part, wait until July for the game portion)
That's my first frustration (didn't say I wasn't buying it, just said it was discouraging!)
My second frustration is that I'm being "pushed" to buy all this aCe stuff. I'm sure aCe is amazing and all, but as a recently returning player, I'm still trying to catch up on the GWF stuff that I loved as a young teen, it's a little bit of overload.
Third, I remember being told (or posted on this board) that we were having the option of buying the components seperately (again, just not interested in aCe, want the stat tracker for now and the GWF stuff later). Again, not getting what we were told we're getting.
Finally, I never said I don't have $29, I'm saying I want to know what my $29 is getting me. I know everyone loves Tom/CotG/all the people who worked so hard to get this up and going, but I don't just throw money at people on faith.
Look, I really like the game/the board/Tom Filsinger, etc. and I know that saying anything even remotely negative about any of them is met with harsh rebuttals, but let's be objective, if you were buying something else (phone service, a car, etc) would you just say "hey great, I'll wait 2 more months, no problem, you guys are the best!"

I understand your frustation. Delays is the nature of development, especially an initial release. There are generally two choices a company has when releasing software. Release it now or Release it right. The team here chose release it right, which I applaud.

If you're interested in JUST the Stat Tracker, then now is the time to buy as that is what portion of COTGonline is available. Anytime between now and Galacticon, we will be making the Game Table Area available as a seperate item. Also around that time, the GWF Package will be available. So for now there is Stat Tracker and aCe. Soon enough we will be adding in the Game Table and GWF. ~ :-Xsk

Thanks for understanding, Squire. Trust me when I tell you guys, getting this project up and running was and still is a massive undertaking. We're doing our best to provide release timeframes and they are admittedly speculative at times. If and when delays occur we've tried to provide updates as soon as possible. One of the best things about this discussion board is to be able to communicate directly in threads such as this. ~ :-Xsk

And, slightly different topic, if I pay $29 for the Launch Package how long does that give me? Is that a subscription? Is that all I every pay for those componants? If it is a subscription, how long does it cover?
