I got Promoter #72 today and with the CPC preview I've got some predictions.
"2 of the CPC's biggest names will be out of work, one because his own team turned against him."
-I think Raven maybe gone after Barnabas' team turns on him. Colossus is another candidate to have his team turn on him, but I'll stick with Raven. Sad to see a great career come to an end.
I'm also thinking Prodigy and Enigma may hang it up this year.
I also think Thayne is gonna leave for a year, more about this later though.
"An entire group will take a leave of absence, maybe to return later"
- it's gotta either be Holy War or the Void, since they are the only groups not talked about in the preview. I think it's Holy War.
"Penthouse Punks Reunite and have a third partner to challenge Jesterelli's team" ;D
- I think Holocaust joins the team, the end of they paragraph ends with "The answers will definitely shock you!" get it, Holocaust = shock. They also have a benefactor, I'm guessing Ishida returns but why wouldn't she challenge Colby and Pelf? Maybe I'm wrong about Holocaust and Ishida, maybe it's Cordanus and Mensar.
"Exo-King hires a third member and Queen counter's bring back a star to the CPC after a brief hiatus. Prince Zed is worried about how Exo-King is acting."
- I think Queen is brining back Sentinel. Maybe Zouave or maybe Mensar (if he doesn't join the Punks). But I really feel it's Sentinel. I think Exo-King will just bring in someone new, maybe we'll see an "official" Death Knight II.
"The Collector's workshop will be reborn as the Dynasty and they challenge the Penthouse Suite."
- new cards for the Czar (fromerly Kulak), Xenia, and Yuri the Strong (formerly Gordo).
to make things even the Penthouse will have to down size by one person to make it 4 on 4. As I said earlier Prodigy will most likely retire but I think Colossus could be gone too. So we'll have Brainstorm, Daeman, Velar and maybe Colossus. (who would be the tag team though?)
"Agents of Change vs. True Way heats up with a returning Grunge. But Agents won't have the one-man advantage in the feud."
- This is why I think Thayne takes a year off, we have to keep the feud even so True Way needs to add or Agents need to loose one. Since 2119 is a year of downsizing and since Thayne has a sick child, I think Thayne will take time off. This is also why I think Holy War takes time off, I think Thayne and Dar Gova will return as a tag team in 2020.
"We find out who Barnabas was talking about as his first experiment. The lives of two current competitors lives will be changed because of it. Rubicon joins Barnabas and he is the most intimidating spector to terrorize a wrestling ring in any century."
-All I've got to say is this should be pretty interestling.
"OFC becomes the largest supergroup in the 22nd century. Splatter will manage 12 wrestlers!!! Shylock, Stigma, Blizzard, Pendekar (with an updated card), Fata Morgana, a returning Dominator, 4 un-named current CPC stars and two new wrestlers (Rhiannon, a woman, and Cypher) Shylock and Cypher have a past, and it's not a good one."
- Splatter managing 12 wrestlers! It says this is the largest group ever but didn't Sam manage more when he turned evil and challenged Omega?
who will they feud with? The Void only has 4 members. Or maybe the Void is the 4 un-named wrestlers joining the group as they feud against EVERYONE as they bring back Splatter's Lottery!
But sadly Mark didn't touch on the burning question I have for the CPC in 2119. "What's up with JJ Smooth this year?" ;D
