Richard Hutton def. Bob Orton Jr. in an excellent opening match that went back and forth. Each man now holds a win over the other.
Antonio Inoki won by D.Q. over Sabu
Ted DiBiase & Masked Superstar def. Flying Red Heads
Jim Londos def. Frank Gotch. These two were part of the Triple Threat match at the world six man tag tourney and Londos won again.
Johnny Valentine & Don Leo Jonathan def. Ox Baker & Killer Kowalski by D.Q.
George Hackenschmidt def. The Sheik
Buddy Rogers & Jimmy Snuka def. Harley Race & Bruiser Brody in a tremendous tag match. Rogers & Snuka dominated most of the action and Bobby Heenan was a non-factor. Former partners Snuka and Brody didn't get near as much of each other as they wanted.
Iron Sheik retained the Intercontinental title, despite interference from Sherri Martel, against Buddy Rose.

Sheik & Sabu easily defeated the Flying Red Heads.
Buddy Rose got himself back on track with his first win since losing the Intercontinental title to the Iron Sheik over Dick Hutton.
Jim Londos avoided the power of Ed Lewis and wore him down on the mat for the victory.
George Hackenschmidt used his power to keep Frank Gotch down and won with the Bear Hug.
Don Leo Jonathan outbrawled Ox Baker for the win.
Yukon Eric scored the pinfall on Killer Kowalski and avoided being double teamed afterwards.
Harley Race quickly defeated Antonio Inoki.
Buddy Rogers def. Bruiser Brody but received a butt kicking by Race and Brody post match.

Buddy Rose hit the brainbuster and then a foreign object helped him pin Ed "Strangler" Lewis.
Frank Gotch def. Antonio Inoki
I-C tag champs the Vachons def. Don Leo Jonathan & Dick Hutton in a non-title match. DLJ never got a tag and was doubleteamed after the match.
George Hackenschidt def. Jim Londos as he held him in the bear hug for several minutes.
Ox Baker def. Yukon Eric by D.Q.
Johnny Valentine def. Killer Kowalski
Bruiser Brody & Harley Race def. Buddy Rogers & Jimmy Snuka. Brody didn't make a tag and was getting hammered in the early going. He roared back against his former partner the Superfly and finished him off. The Heenan Family members then beat on Snuka after the match.

Ed "Strangler" Lewis withstood the wild assault of the Sheik and won with the side headlock.
Antonio Inoki def. Sabu
Bruiser Brody crushed Dick Hutton.
George Hackenschmidt def. Buddy Rose
Harley Race def. Buddy Rogers with the Piledriver. Brody then stormed the ring and the two Heenan Family members pounded on the Nature Boy before Jimmy Snuka could make the save.
The Road Warriors & Paul Ellering easily retained the World Six-Man tag team titles against Ted DiBiase, Masked Superstar & Bob Orton Jr.
Johnny Valentine & Yukon Eric won by D.Q. over the I-C tag team champions the Vachons.

Great stuff, Ty. Buddy Rose seems to have had a nice run as IC champ. Being a relative newbie to LOW, I was shocked when he advanced all the way to the finals of my recent 72-man tournament.

Hey Dave. Rose somehow got on a good long run of wins for me and then took the I-C title. He scored a fast pin in the rematch with the Sheik but then lost to the Iron Sheik. That's the way the dice goes sometimes.
