Okay, so what is your guess? Mine right now is Puma, but someone named Wildcat, and it would definitely fit with his serious attitude change. I certainly could be convinced to change to Wildcat.

I haven't got the new editions yet. So I'm just speculating here from what I know so far. Wildcat seems plausible to me. There is something about Desdemona though that just doesn't add up.

I'm standing by my old board pick of Son of Ram (now Minotaur).

I cannot see it not being one of Mark's current wrestlers. Maybe if not one he created, definitely one his is currently using.

I think Wildcat is a good possibility of being an experiment

I believe that Wolf is Barnabas' first experiment

Well, my two cents: A)It's already been announced it's not Wolf. Mark killed that rumor mighty fast. B)I like the Puma theory, and I really like the Minotaur theory, the Wildcat theory just doesn't do it for me however. He still at least has a human look to him. C)Anybody given any thought to Slave Beast? Could give some reason as to why the other Animen don't like him, besides the whole groveling aspect... Just some thoughts. Shazam

i seriously doubt its Puma. When introduced they mentioned how he was tearing up opponents on Andromeda, so that means that they have a record of him on their planet. It would be real funny if it was Gila ;D

I've also posted this under the Rubicon thread, but I'll say here also that the correct answer to the first experiment has been mentioned, and it's not an old-timer AniMan (definitely not Wolf!!!). The interesting part will be what happens when the revelation is made, not so much who it is, at least as I see it. Keep talking, folks!

It may not be Puma because of his past history, but I believe Mark's using someone with a proven track record to make it that much more of a shock. So to me that rules out Minotaur and Antak. Swarm is a possibility and Wildcat just isn't enough of a creature. Slave Beast and Epoch are just to new.
With Mandrill's sudden fall off I'd have to go with him as my major canidate behind Puma. Since Ani-Men are suppose to have long life spans, but he's already aging it just smells funny. Of course we have no idea how long Mandrill was a Colonizer before he stepped into the ring. It wasn't like he came to the GWF as a green rookie like Wolf in 2086.

Ah, it was so long ago that I used that character. Still a great character. I should revisit him.

Nero and Hadrian dont look too much like apes. They look like psycho humans with mutton chops that act like apes. Why cant Wildcat be an experiment? I mean they said he was acting more cat-like and his agility and strength both improved.

Wildcat................! Animal turned human, not human turned animal and that's why he doesn't remember it. Most of the creations on The Island of D. Monreau ,as mention in the CPC book, was animals turned human (kinda) not humans turned animals. That came later, so it would fit that his first experiment was with an animal and he got Wildcat. Wildcat will become "Rubicon" when he finds out the truth and go after Dr. Barnabus. Think about it......Wildcat has seemed to regress lately, getting more feral and wild ( no pun intended). The animal still lives inside of him and when the truth is told he' go beserk.
