Bobo Brazil was stripped of the Southern Heavyweight title on April 17, 2004 after having his ankle broken by Buddy Rogers, Gorgeous George, and Buddy Rose (see Southern title history on page 1). This tournament was to crown the new champion.
FIRST ROUND May 7, 2004: Rupp Arena in Lexington 1) Killer Kowalski defeated Frank Gotch 2) Jimmy Snuka defeated Buddy Rogers 3) Red Bastien defeated Greg Valentine 4) Buddy Rose defeated Gorgeous George by DQ
SEMIFINALS May 14, 2004: Municipal Auditorium in Nashville 1) Jimmy Snuka defeated Killer Kowalski 2) Red Bastien defeated Buddy Rose
FINALS May 21, 2004: Memorial Auditorium in Chattanooga Jimmy Snuka defeated Red Bastien to become the new champion

150TH USWA CARD (THANKSGIVING NIGHT) 11-22-2007 Louisville Gardens 1) Danny Hodge pinned S.D. Jones with an Oklahoma side roll. DUD
2) The Sheik pinned Virgil after a falling elbow drop to the throat. ½*
3) The Flying Redheads defeated The Killer B’s (Brutus Beefcake & Buff Bagwell) in The B’s’ first match together, when Billy Red Lyons pinned Bagwell with a small package after Bagwell attempted a neckbreaker. ****½
4) In a special attraction, Killer Kowalski pinned Yukon Eric with a face claw. ****½
5) Buddy Rose upset Antonio Inoki after 2 Bombs Away. **¼
6) Giant Baba, Jimmy Snuka, & Bruiser Brody defeated The Midnight Express & Justin Credible when Brody pinned Bobby Eaton after a jumping knee drop. ****
7) In another special attraction, Johnny & Greg Valentine retained the AWA World Tag Team titles defeating Danny Doring & Cousin Luke when Greg made Doring submit to the figure-four leglock. *½
8) Dan Severn pinned Sabu in a No-Disqualification Match after a series of knee smashes to the head. ***
9) Ed “Strangler” Lewis defeated Bob Orton, Sr. by DQ when Orton punched referee Jerry Calhoun and gave Lewis a low kick. Afterwards, Lewis threw Orton down with the Strangler’s Headlock and held it on for several minutes. negative*
10) Rikidozan won the USWA World Heavyweight title from Nick Bockwinkel by pinfall after a hiplock. **

NEW YEAR’S KNOCKOUT IV Card #154: 12-31-07 Mid-South Coliseum in Memphis 1) Buddy Rose defeated Greg Valentine by DQ when Cousin Luke interfered, pulled Rose off the top rope and executed a Hillbilly Drop. ***¼
2) Billy Red Lyons, Koko B. Ware, & S.D. Jones defeated Danny Doring, Cousin Luke, & Virgil when Ware pinned Doring after the Ghostbuster. *¼
3) Red Bastien defeated Rick Rude in his USWA debut by countout, after knocking Rude off the top rope with a dropkick, which knocked Rude to the arena floor. ***½
4) The Killer Bees beat The Killer B’s (Brutus Beefcake and Buff Bagwell) when Jim Brunzell pinned Beefcake after dropkicking him into Capt. Lou Albano. **¾
5) Giant Baba defeated Justin Credible & Jim Cornette when he pinned Cornette after the neckbreaker drop. *½
6) In a special attraction return match, Killer Kowalski pinned Yukon Eric after a giant swing. ¾*
7) Sabu pinned Bobo Brazil after an Arabian facebuster and help from The Sheik. ****½
8) The Road Warriors defeated Jimmy Snuka & Bruiser Brody and USWA World Tag Team champions The Masked Superstar & King Kong Bundy in a Triangle Match for the titles. Superstar & Bundy were disqualified when Superstar hit Hawk with one of the title belts. The Warriors eliminated Snuka & Brody when Hawk pinned Snuka after a gut wrench suplex. The titles did not change hands, since the champions were not pinned or did not submit. ***
9) Frank Gotch made The Sheik submit to the Gotch Toehold in a No-Disqualification Match to retain the Southern Heavyweight championship. As a result of a pre-match stipulation, the loser (Sheik) would not receive another shot at the title as long as his opponent (Gotch) held the title. *****
10) Ed “Strangler” Lewis pinned Nick Bockwinkel after throwing him down with the Strangler’s Headlock. Bockwinkel suffered a concussion, hitting his head on the throw. **½
11) Rikidozan pinned Mil Mascaras after a hiplock to retain the USWA World Heavyweight championship. ****¼
