Guys, guys, guys....it's really mostly a joke.
This stuff doesn't really bg me at all. Just like to hear how other fans react to this little idiosyncracies in GWF lore.

It's certainly an interesting discussion, though, because it's definitely something that I'd thought of without any prompting from the board. Again, it's something I dismissed pretty quickly being a sci-fi geek of sorts, but I can see how it could be a sticking point for some people.

True, true...I still wonder what exactly a person from Cygnus looks like.

Although, going back a bit, the Sonora Pelf thing never bothered me.
It just semed obvious to me when she "became" Nora that Colby has just married a woman who was ridiculously younger than him. Like most really rich men. Good for Magnus.

True, true...I still wonder what exactly a person from Cygnus looks like. LOL yeah, I know, are they lizard looking or are they humanoid looking? Remember Tongsoon/Soldier Of Fortune was turned into his 'original' form by Doomsayer. ;D Why you gotta love this game.

There's also Mangus, Maelstrom, and Torpor. None of them have a consistent look. Thay planet must be more of a freak show than Brymstone.

To echo Mark and BDS.....it being the sci-fi setting, I've always been okay with any sort of aging/skills 'inconsistencies' over the years too. Some wrestlers stick around longer than others, some get more or less updates than others.....not everything shakes out the same. And I know you were kidding PureHatred.....I certainly would never criticize the Caliph of Code, the Overlord of Online, BDS. Just his baseball team

Just his baseball team Laugh it up, Aquinas. I figure you've got a couple more months of it yet until A-Rod's signed and your little Brewer heart sinks again.

I know how old Lorelei is.
Nobody cares. That's how old.
;D
In all seriousness, She is a throw in/throw away character that Tom has had on the back burner for some time now.
My prediction is that she is gone out of the GWF entirely in 2123.
Tom really doesn't care how old, in age, one of his creations is. He cares more about how old the character is in terms of how interesting that character is and "has it run its course?"

If you guys remember, Cassandra was around for OVER 20 years and never had an upgrade or downgrade. I never heard anyone complain about that, other than myself. Also, this is SCIFI, there are going to be things that no one will know or understand. More importantly, it is a game! Have fun! If there is something you dont understand or or know, make it up! Use your imagination!

Good lord. No one complained...this was a tongue in cheek post about a niggling little detail of GWF lore.
God forbid anyone every question something Tom wrote, even just a little, even jokingly.

Why is it whenever a thread starts up like this someone always comes up with 'Who cares? just play the game?'
IMO, the mark of good sci-fi/fantasy writing (and, to a lesser extent, all ficton) is having fans that enjoy it enough to think about this sorta thing.. it should be taken as a compliment, not a critism.
On topic, aging in Sci-Fi is general is always dicey. Its clear Tom lets story dictate, rather than worrying about this kinda stuff. On most levels, its a good thing, since the story is the most important thing. There are some things that can get annoying, though... A mother being in the prime of her career while her son is retired (nagging injuries or no) is one I can definately see as falling under that category.
The Boodline thing was another, which Tom fixed when he made Bloodline Star Warrior's son (which many of us were doing anyway)... and we got a nice story out of it... who knows, maybe the same thing will happy with Lorelei.

Hey , Tom wrote the Alpha Stone/Cosmic Cube thing, how it really had no powers and all after it glowed and floated at ringside and gave Chaos and Alpha Force godly powers ( but it was all in their head ) . C'mon even Tom misses the bus from time to time because even the most die hard fan has admitted in the past that was bad/ real bad. Payback, you're becoming a very angry young man. You think Thantos needs to come back and manage you?

This is so true. In every single successful sci-fi/fantasy series (and some of the not-so-successful ones) there are fans who get so engrossed in the story that they start exploring the stuff that not even the original creator talks about. At leat we're not as bad as the trekkies who create realistic, "accurate" star maps of planets that don't exist or Star Wars fans who write piles and piles of mostly terrible fan fiction. And again...this was mainly a joke. Something to think about. i referred to Lorelei as a MILF. I didn't really need anyone to tell me to have fun and use my imagination. I ran a board-wide Diva Search in my fed that was won by Werner's Mona Mamamries character; I clearly know this is a game.

hahahahaha. You would need a combo of worm holes and time-travel to come close.
I have anguished about the same dilemma and even "planned" events that were "close" because it would be easier on the wrestlers.

Payback, you're becoming a very angry young man. You think Thantos needs to come back and manage you? I'm not angry. I put the smiley face in my post. But people DO get caught up in the age thing WAY too much. If you know Tom or ever heard him talk about the game, he doesn't concern himself with age. I heard Tom on several occasions say that he didn't understand why people freaked out about that so much (referring to the Bloodline story). He said, "They're aliens, not humans." And the fact that they are alien, does matter on how they age. Just relax, and play. If you're overly worried about Lorelei (and I'm not saying anyone is), you're missing the big picture. No malice in this post. Just trying to help clarify.

I think the big reason fans worry about age in the game is because of the natural progression of characters. I know for myself, there's been at least a couple of times where I was actually "disappointed" to get a set and see that one of my favorite guys has hit the downgrade stage of their caeer. So maybe mentally we start doing the math in our head of how long our fav's are going to be in their prime.

He was one of my most dominant champions and I hated it when he was just gone when Cordanus left. But then Monolith came along and everything was ok.
