Forgotten Gladiator great...I think he could have been one of the greatest Gladiators of all time, but he kept getting switched from singles to tag, then back again. His card was awesome. Am i alone in my opinion of this, could have been??

He dominated my fed as a single. Held the title for over a year !! As a tag man, had many title reigns. my opinion the 2nd greatest Gladiators ever.......second only to Vengeance !!!!

Malice currently is tagged with Overkill in XCW...but what I've seen of him, he could easily be the XCW Dimensional champion...XCW Heavyweight, not sure. Guess I'll have to book him sometime soon in the Heavyweight division to see how he can do against that competition.

Malice was awesome and had he stayed in Singles action he would have dominated.
Tough time to come into the Fed with Thunder really hitting his stride.
Malice and Thunder were the best 1 - 2 Gladiators in the fed at the same time. Team either one with Overkill and you had an awesome Team and the other would have been in the top of the federation on his own!

Yeah and what makes it all worse is the worst incarnation of the Gladiators now reside in our feds. Paralyze is cool and Rage is ok, but Disaster is getting beat up left and right and is starting to remind me of Mayhem. The sad thing is the best Aethran out there right now they held back and he left the team (Havoc).
If I were Spike I would be like Wolf your nice but we need to rebuild go join the Andromeda team. Fire Disaster and BEG Havoc to come home. Bring in one MAYBE two gladiators. I think right now the Eugenics team has the Aethrans on the rocks and if something isn't done quick Havoc may end the Gladiators all together.

Am i alone in my opinion of this, could have been?? Good topic Mike. Malice was one of those characters who had great potential that was never quite fulfilled in the official storylines. Looking back the elevation of Thunder...who became one of the most fully fleshed out characters Tom has ever created...came at the expense of relegating Malice into the shadows. While Overkill was the anchor point and excelled as a tag specialist...Malice was more of a round peg forced into a square hole. I kept waiting for the break out push mixed with a killer upgrade for Malice...but it just didn't happen. By the time Disaster hit the scene and Thunder had slid a notch...it was just too late. The storyline was focused on the 'New Kid In Town'. LWPD (according to Lord Rahl's Character Ratings 2110 Malice hit a score of 51(58)....which is elite...but the official history isn't there to support him being at that level...when Disaster debuted in 2113 with 49 (50) he immediately seemed like the impending heir apparent to the Thunder singles legacy...a history that overshadowed a now aged Malice as retirement drew near)There's talk on the street, it's there to remind you That it doesn't really matter which side you're on You're walking away and they're talking behind you They will never forget you.... 'til somebody new comes along

Malice was my favorite Gladiator (with Disaster being a very close second). After he debuted and knocked a few heads, he quickly toppled Colossus for the Heavyweight Title and ran roughshot over the entire federation. Although I did later have him team with Overkill (6 months before it actually happened), I never used his tag card. To me, he was cooler with his original card, which is where he stayed until he retired.
Thank you, Mike, for this tribute to a favorite headbanger!
Take care,
Jay

I used Malice in singles and tag cuz that's the way I do it. Anyone complaining that Malice didn't get a singles push or singles glory have only yourselves to blame. Malice was great for me...but not as great as Thunder.

Am i alone in my opinion of this, could have been?? I agree he was a great wrestler. Not better than Spike but top 3 as far as gladiators are concerned. I like him almost as much as Spike and Massacre but he could have done more? I am not sure... he won my Galaxian title once. won the GalactiCup tournament in 2107. won the JCup tag team tournament with Overkill in 2115. won the Galaxian tag team titles with Overkill in 2115 & 2116.
