Is there a list of official races from the game? I'm hoping something that lists the race and then examples of who from the game belonged to that race. Does such a thing exist? THis is all in research for my PM2 slot.

This would be a great idea for something to have in the GWF files (or maybe Online...)
Rather than try off the top of my head, perhaps someone with the GWF Files on hand could start us off...

Thanks TM. And for posterity and so it's in an easier format to work with later, here's the list. (Also added a few after a quick look through the first GWF Files).
Aethra Andromeda Arcturus Cynus Mensa Estorian Eridanus Maxus Titan CTA-102 Ceres Cetus Dimension X Brymstone Neptune Scorpi Omicron Pavo Primus Earth American Earth Japan Earth Canadian Earth European Earth Mexican

Here's a few more:
Ravagers Aurgurae (where Painmaster and Silvar are from) Primals (Paganax et al)
Then there's the places that seem to have Earth-like humans, like Cetus and Maffei II)

Because I wouldn't count several of those you've listed as different races, many (Aethra, Maxus, Omicron, Cetus, etc.) are just different earthlike humanoids. Not necessarily a different 'race'. Some more definitely 'different' races come from the following: Corvus (Endgame) Trachis (Retribution) Ara (Terminus, others) Kroll (Master Race)

I understand what you're saying. I guess I'm looking more "races" then "homeworlds" but I'd actually consider earth humans a different race than Aethrans. I'm just trying to either pin down something unique or seldom used for my PM slot.
I've suggested a big Master List of this kind of thing for COTGOnline.

Add Kroll, Corpulus, Orion and Sagittarius to the list.
Has it ever been established which of the planets are colony worlds?
I've always assumed that characters from the Solar System (Titan, Mars, Venus, Neptune, and so on) are actual humans, either settlers from Earth or their descendants, whereas the guys from worlds like Aethra and Maffei II are human-looking aliens.
In broad terms, you're probably looking at six categories:
Earth humans (American Guy) Non-Earth humans (Payback) Human-looking aliens (Encubus) Alien-looking aliens (Epoch) Human-looking extra-dimensionals (Valour) Alien-looking extra-dimensionals (Endgame)

Alien-looking extra-dimensionals (Endgame) I believe it was discovered that Endgame is actually not from another dimension.

Dr. Klahn: Refuse, found in waterfront bars. Loo: Shanghaied? Dr. Klahn: Just lost drunken men who don't know where they are and no longer care. Prisoner #1: Where are we? Prisoner #2: I don't care! Loo: And these? Dr. Klahn: These are lost drunken men who don't know where they are, but do care! And these are men who know where they are and care, but don't drink. Prisoner #3: I don't know who I am? Prisoner #4: And I don't drink! Dr. Klahn: Guards! (move prisoners) Do you care? Prisoner #5: No. Dr. Klahn: Put this man in cell #1, and give him a drink. Guard: What do you drink? Prisoner #5: I don't care.

Holy crap, I just watched Kentucky Fried Movie last night.... unreal (in response to kaz' signature that I just noticed for the first time). and to keep the topic on track I could use a race list as well with examples of characters.

I believe it was discovered that Endgame is actually not from another dimension. Huh. I'd assumed that the Astrals were extra-dimensional. Rereading the NB handbook, though, you're right; he's just an alien from a highly-evolved race. I've been referring to him as a Second Realmer in all my write-ups, as well. Bugger.

Sagittarius is tricky
Three wrestlers are from there
Torin Caelum Colossus-Tom said they were a race of people that were born half cyborgs Tricks
We also have
Asylum's Race Dorado And the race that gave us Polarity,Vice+The Theatre of Pain

Amazing Mann is also from Sagittarius. I know this because I renamed his finisher the Sagittarius Stretch when he dropped the escape artist gimmick.
You could always assume it refers to the constellation Sagittarius, which includes a whole load of stars and therefore a whole load of different planets.
Of course, the term only has meaning from an Earth perspective, but so does CTA-102. We can probably assume the alien races have their own names in their own languages.

I was under the assumption this was true anyway. More often than most, the wrestlers listed which galaxy they were from more than what planet specifically.
