With the release of 2122 it seems that there are only six cruiserweights left in the GWF.
Just curious to see if any is thinking of scrapping their cw division or upping the weight limit?

Yeah, the Cruiserweight Title is totally meaningless. Swarm instituted a WarGames Title many years ago (I adopted one, and I think Tournament Master did, too). It's a belt defended under Titan Death Rules and it's always 2-out-of-3 falls. That way, there's no limitations on who can win it due to weight. I never put my top guys in matches for that belt. It's usually those 2nd tier guys who I want to see if they can get a little push going, then if they're successful, move up to challenge for the InterPlanetary belt.

I'm thinking that I'm going to begin using this title rather than a cruiserweight title in my restarted fed. The matches that Swarm and Payback have had in their feds for this title have been really good and the belt idea itself, without weight limits, is awesome. I've had cruiserweight titles in the past and it just seems like I always had the same three or four guys winning the belt all the time. That gets old and ends up making all ideas that I have for the belt seem stagnant. Peace.

I've never liked the cruiserweight title either. It naturally presupposes a line of thinking that lower weight guys need their own division because they can't compete with a heavyweight or a superheavyweight (althought this is mostly true in real life). However, I don't want to limit any guy. Also, you are always going to have the same guys in the division and that gets boring.

I always liked the crusierweight division.I think that it gives the smaller or lower card guys a chance to shine and some interesting scenarios come from them storyline-wise.I'll miss the amazing mann his feud with panther warrior over the gwf crusierweight title was great and even though panther warrior could not unsurp the amazing mann for the title.they're matches were pure classics.

Sadly I scrapped my Lightweights as I like to call them in GWF (Cruiserweights in CPC . But even their I dont follow the weight limit 100% by the rule book)

Would have been even less cruiserweights if I didn't ask Tom to drop down US Male and Betrayer below 240. ;D
I scrapped my Cruiserweight division in 2119 and in 2120 instituted the D-town based Wargames title in its place (and in place of the Hardcore belt as well).
Right now the CPC is the exclusive home of the Cruiserweight division.

In my relaunched Fed the cruiserweight title has been eliminated. I never really liked the weight limits for it anyway, as I thought they were way too heavy. And I have no real interest in mixing bootlegs with official characters this time around.
Seriously considering dropping my women's division and title, too.

It looks like I'm finally putting my CW title to rest in 2122. I've set up my initial Prenneul and the title will be retired and current CW champ, Tricks, will be entered into the 8 man IP title tournament.
Although by my count I only see 4 cruisers: Tricks Tristan Reckless Panther Warrior
Betrayer and U.S. Male put on some weight with their new cards. That is if you go by the old standby of 240 lbs.

The card versions of Betrayer and US Male still have them under 240. I guess the online game made them a bit more beefy!

I got rid of the GWF Cruiserweight Title a few years ago for many of the reasons mentioned above. My CPC division, however, is hoppin'!

When the CPC developed such a strong roster of cruiserweights, that convinced me to bury the 'division' in the GWF....if I want cruiserweight action with a cruiserweight title, I'll play CPC. There's just not enough to merit it in the GWF, imo.

Those lazy GWF guys are just too darn fat! They need to go on Mark's CPC Weight Loss program. ;D

After the Amazing Mann retired and vacated the the title.I held a one night tournament with all six crusierweights and the betrayer prevailed.I think it will be interesting the betrayer is hungry in my fed and wants to prove he's as a good of champion as the amazing mann was.But he will go to any lengths to keep his title. His first defense will be on monday night battlezone aganist u.s. male whom he beat in a tournament final. The betrayer has been gloating about his title win and has pissed off all the other crusierweights except tricks.I think it will be interesting to see how the betrayer does.I still think panther warrior and reckless and tristin would go after him and in my fed they will. The crusierweight division can be interesting, you just have to have someone that can draw heat.in my fed i think the betrayer is so annoying and hated people will come to see him lose the title just so he can shut up and he will do anything to keep the title, anything so it will be intersting.I think you just have to keep the crusierweight title divsion interesting like the wcw did with chris jericho as champ when he had a great run and great angles with the belt.

I cheat sometimes ... like with a struggling superstar ... aka Nosfera. He's 248 but it's easy for him to say drop 10 pounds and division.

I had always thought about making a weight loss chart. I was inspired when Matt Hardy and Christian "dropped weight" to make the cruiserweight division. It could make interesting storylines.

I haven't used a Cruiserweight Champ in years when almost every CW was in a tag team and onthe heroes side.
