Hey quick question ... I just ordered and this maybe a spoiler but does Tom say what next year is called? Will it be Subversion 2123? Sudden Death 2123??? Or does it say? Usually on the last page he says something like "... prepare for ***** 2123"

Nope. He gives details as to what direction the fed is going but no name. It will not be Sudden Death.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's Subversion. Don't expect Sudden Death for a while.

This is the last Subversion set. 2123 will be the start of a new story arc.

This is the last Subversion set. 2123 will be the start of a new story arc. Yeah, Tom explicitly stated that this was the last year of the Subversion story arc. As far as I remember, he didn't give any clues as to what the next one would be (if he's even decided yet).

It seems that, unlike the old days, Tom is taking a hard stance on keeping the GWF roster at a controlled size....so I'm not sure, as cool as the concept is, that Sudden Death is needed any more, unless on a very small scale.

Tom is taking a hard stance on keeping the GWF roster at a controlled size This is easily my favorite part of the Silver Age ... smaller rosters make me a happy BDS

Now, it's pretty easy to find time for every guy in the fed.

Sudden Death was a cool concept, but it had become too 'regular' an event in the GWF. Tom basically said that he's not interested in bringing it back any time soon, which means that we'll see more updates and retirements/leaving the GWF than we used to.
