now that i have made it home...just some advice...read the book first...I always look at the cards, then read the book, but trust me it isn't too hard to do it the other way this time...You will be VERY HAPPY that you did...

Tom came up with the idea of reading the book before looking at the cards for the people on Friday Night, as he thought it would be cool for one group to experience it that way. However, everyone Friday night wanted the tradition to continue as long as it could. So people Saturday weren't spolied and were asked to do the same thing. Then everyone at the con decided to keep the secrets going so that people who couldn't make it could enjoy it the same way. I personally think its very cool that it turned out this way.

I agree completely. It's obviously not Tom trying to stifle the creative process. It's just a strong urging for all of us to maximize the "Wow!" factor by simply reading the book before looking at the cards. And I think you conference-goers were awesome about it....I can't wait to get my set, and I'll be darn sure to read the book first, then go through the cards Tom sums it up well: www.filsingergames.com/tomsbrain.htm

its amazing you guys can post how Im being too serious for a whole weekend, then get all serious when I'm obviously being silly.. but anyway back on topic.
I actually always read the book first, and look at the cards one at a time as I come to their bios in the book..I've always been more interested in the story than they ratings on the cards.

Is there room for me on the list? The list is limited to four but I might have to have an honorary list. But those people will have to pay for their shirts.

I'm so glad I did Overnight, Wednesday can't get here soon enough! And I plan on reading the booklet first (At least the first 4 pages), if it's important enough for Tom to do a Brain Segment, then that's enough reason for me to do it that way. Is it Wednesday yet?

So there's a list to get on the list? Makes sense to me. Is Mark Henry on the waiting list? If so, can I wait with him?
