My older son (he'll be 6 in a couple months) had his first experience in a play on stage earlier this month and is looking like he'll be quite the performer, so "Santa and the elves" made him a stage out of PVC pipe, MDF board, and curtains. 5' high and wide, 3 1/2" deep. His first performance on it was with a guitar (a real one, just kid-sized) that my parents got him. He has no idea how to play the thing yet, but I can teach him the basics. He also got a very realistic-looking dog puppet he named Mitzi that he can use on stage. Other stuff for him was a NASCAR remote control race set (you know, the kind with two cars going around the track), a bowling set, Twister, and some foam kind of things that you can sculpt with.
Younger son (2) got a train set, some airplanes, a front-end loader with electronic moving parts, and some Blue's Clues DVDs.
My wife and I bought ourselves a weight machine as our joint present to each other. My folks gave me a much needed tool chest set (I'm notorious for misplacing the exact tool I need), some shirts, and money to buy myself a trenchcoat. (I know most folks here don't ever see me in the winter, but trust me, that kind of coat is part of my identity from October-April.)
And when I see him this weekend, I bought my brother the Legends of Wrestling intro set and Legends Fever (because he's a DDP fan). He's been out of the game for several years now, but after he told me he named his fantasy football team the Diamond Cutters and tried to get my younger son to learn his diamond shape by making the DDP sign, I figured the time was right to get him back in the Filsinger Games flow. We'll see. If I'm lucky, I'll drag him back with me to the Con in July!

The Boys got Razors...some clothes and x-box games.
The daughter a DVD and Heelys, which she has been flying around the house in all day.
The wife got a bunch of cooking stuff she wanted a couple snowmen and Uggs...if you don't know what they are...ask your female significant other...she will.
Me...a very cool Ty Beanie Dragon named Fossils, a house robe & slippers and Bose QC3 headphones! If you have to use headphones for work or love to get the absolute best sound quality from headphones...go and check them out! They are simply AWESOME! I have them on right now and i cannot hear anything going on in the background...and no not because i have the music turned way up!
It was a very good day...plus i even got to throw the dice after playing Scrabble with the kids.

I got my fiancee the Stardust DVD. Also, after her gameboy broke, she asked for one in pink, even if it was used. When she opened her presents, she found she had gotten some games. when she pointed out that they were DS games, I gave her the DS that Santa had gotten her. She nearly screamed she was so happy. Then we got to my parents', and they gave her a Build-a-Bear gift card and MP3 (in pink). I thought she was going to faint.
She got me The Simpsons Movie, Spiderman 3, a Nightmare Before Christmas T-shirt, a Simpsons Movie T-shirt, and a Barnes and a couple of Barnes and Noble gift cards.
My parents gave me clothes and a Gamestop gift.
My friends gave me a Barnes and Noble and Gamestop gift card.
Guess where we're going today.
I hope everyone had a great holiday.
Take care,
Jay

aCe 2119 and 2120...DVD's...clothes and CD's. I became a dad for the first time on December 13, so my daughter "bought" me a couple of sweet dad shirts. She got tons of clothes and learning things that make noise. Wasn't really needing/wanting much this year, but a healthy child that gave joy to everyone, a gift in itself.

Now that I am back home in Las Vegas after visiting my parents and other relatives in Seattle, it looks like I finally have almost all my gifts for this year. What I Got My Girl: Sorry, that's on a need to know basis only. What My Girl Got Me: Sorry, that's also on a need to know basis only. But I think she also got me something else too that I haven't received yet- I'll find out when I see her again after the first of the year when she gets back from the Los Angeles area. What I Bought Family and Friends: Liquor and Gift Cards (my family and friends are easy to buy for . What I Got From Family and Friends: 1. Bruiser Brody's book 2. the new WWE DVD: Triumph and Tragedy of WCCW 3. 100 DVD-Rs 4. a Seahawks (my favorite NFL team) blanket 5. a copy of the apparently out of print book- "The Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame- The Canadians" 6. As the only other "out" Seahawks fan on this board, I feel I need to know. Just kidding. Glad you got a Hawks blanket. I've still got one gift coming from a friend I'll see on NYE (Secret Santa type of thing), and I'm kinda hoping it's something Seahawk-related. Although I'd trade it for another trip to the Super Bowl!

As the only other "out" Seahawks fan on this board, I feel I need to know. Oh, she got me the new The Best of Raw - 15th Anniversary DVD. Seriously, I actually got that DVD too (although not from her). But I forgot to put that DVD on the list I posted last night next to the new WCW DVD by the WWE that I also got for Christmas.

You got her pregnant?!?! I nearly coughed up some Budweiser @ Clamato. I really admire the girl I'm currently seeing and I think she would make a great mother. But I would want to be married to her first.

I nearly coughed up some Budweiser @ Clamato. If you're drinking Bud & Clamato you need to be coughing it up.

I got from my wife: A new computer monitor, wireless keyboard and mouse (all of which my wife has used more than me so far). I got for my wife: a gift certificate for a spa and chocolates. I know what makes her happy. I got for myself: The WCCW DVD and Royal Rumble ticket. My daughter made out like a bandit. Although all the toys she got, the only thing she wants to do with them is stick them in her mouth...

My daughter made out like a bandit. Although all the toys she got, the only thing she wants to do with them is stick them in her mouth... You'd better hope that particular behavior doesn't continue into adolescence. The toys get...different then. I love being a dad of boys freaking out dads of girls!
