I was looking through some records for my EC fed....and noticed something.
Blood
Blood really hasn't done much of anything for me.....He is only 2-7 for me in singles, and only 4-12 in tag team matches with Jammer as Defiance.
His matches have been disastrous, as far as he is concerned....

I agree with you.. I think he was intended to be a little better (and Jammer a little worse) than they are.
Definance has been very successful for me, with about a .500 record and a couple tag title runs, but Blood definately isn't a player in singles... even now that i'm in 2084 and he's supposed to be (per the handbook) a title contender, he's never even been able to break into the top 10.

as a tag team, Defiance really hasn't done much. Jammer carries the team, it seems. And in singles, Jammer is great (he had a nice little rivarly for a bit vs. Morpheus a few cards ago).

Honestly guys, it's all how the dice roll. Some people have done better with Blood, and some haven't.

ummm.....ok....and?
The #1 reason I came back to cotg....is the characters. They are "real" to me....I know they are pretend....but they have character. Why even have a discussion about the game and our individual feds if ppl are just going to go and say, "well...you know....it is all in the dice."
We know that....but it is still fun to compare notes from each other's feds and all...I know Blood does well for others, while for some he doesn't. And the game is dice-based...so, yeah....I know that the dice determine how a wrestler does....but can't we talk about the "realness" of the game for once?

Agreed. One of the top things that I wish I did differently was his card. I was afraid of making him TOO good (since I love his character), and went too far the other way. He's been much better for me than he has for Mino, but not as good as I hoped. The down-3 on level 2 defense absolutely kills him when he's up against the other Classics guys, and he doesn't have anything to really counter-balance that. Consider him a PRIME candidate for some tweaking if and when EC goes to COTG Online.

I love his character.....and in fact, I kinda use that as the explanation why he doesn't do so good.
A hardcore icon in a not-so-hardcore environment. Perhaps he is just having a hard time adjusting from POW (ie NO RULES) to the GWF (ie mainstream).
I play him off as though he just gets frustrated.....but funny thing is, he just got his butt handed to him by Commander Sam in a No DQ / No CO match....But, I chalk that up to the fact that he is "distracted" by Jammer's injury.....

It's nice to hear you discuss him, Mike. He never moved above midcarder for me. I also wondered about the statements in EC where it mentions that Blood was a contender for the title in the later EC years because I kept trying to figure out how he was that good. He was always behind Omega, Morpheus, Caelum, Keller, Sam, Caiman, Screw, and Hechilles in my fed. He was tough in hardcore matches though.

I've just heard mixed reviews on him. I'm all about comparing how different characters do in different feds. I'm just as cool with Blood as others. Sorry if you were insulted.

In my fed, Blood never won a singles title but Defiance had 2 reigns as my tag champs and one of those reigns lastewd for most of the year 2081.
It would be really interesting to see Blood's card if we someday get a POW set released.

He's about .500 for me as well. He can't compete against the top guys like Omega or Morpheus, but will do well against a Commander Sam.
What has shocked me is that Blood and Jammer are only about a .500 team, while Cross Currents are only behind the Guardians

I know a couple like someone has a (ch H) or something on a Level 1 Offense. Not a knock on the stats or anything...I don't want it to seem that way. I know some are kinda perfectionists about that. Now I need to post some of my EC cards

Here are the tag team standings so far (from beginning to current card)
Paladin Power (13-10)
Mensans (12-13)
Guardians (11-3)
CrossCurrents (10-16)
TKO (7-0)
Dorado Sundown (4-5)
Defiance (4-12)
KO Keller & Commander Sam (2-2)
Wind Riders (2-5)
Morpheus & Cosmos (1-0)
Torin Caelum & Ricken Prince (1-1)
what shocks me is the CrossCurrents. On my last show, they came OH SO CLOSE to beating Paladin Power for the tag titles.
The last 8 matches that Defiance has had, they only won 1 match.
TKO is actually Torin Caelum & KO Keller....they were my tag champs, and in fact, defeated The Guardians for the tag titles. But, they split up....and not on happy terms, either.
Paladin Power are my tag champs now....a strange thing....Dorado Sundown never won the titles....

Back in my Early Classics fed, Dorado Sundown held the tag championship for two years and they are about to get inducted into my personal GWF Hall of Fame. As they are for you in terms of their record, Paladin Power were also one of my best tag teams in the Early Classics Period.

I couldn't get Dorado Sundown to do anything either... they never held a title, and actually feuded with Defiance more than Omega and Morpheus, since the Guardians just destroyed them.

Long story, but there is a legit reason why the (ch) situations are screwed up. A story that I'd be happy to share with you at G-con.... if you ever make it. But rest assured, if/when EC goes online, the (ch) situations will be fixed. Just know that I am aware of the problems. As for your cards.... let's see 'em!

well, regarding Dorado Sundown....to be fair.....4 out of 5 of their losses were to the Guardians.....the other loss was against Ricken Prince & Caelum in the tournament for the titles....

Here's my tag title history...Defiance has held the titles 5 times, with no reigns lasting longer then 3 months...they were however "voted" tag team of the year in 2079, slightly edging the new team of the Gamemasters, due to a late slump of the rookie team.
