I used to do a lot of Gospel Magic when I was a youth director for a church. I have not touched my stuff in a couple of years and decided I wanted to get back into magic. I will be doing a magic show at the bookstore I work at on June 30. THey will be printing up fliers tonight to promote it. And I need a stage name for the flyer. My creativity is gone today and I cannot think of anything. Can anyone give me some ideas.
I don't want to use cakejedi because I don't want to put a copyrighted name on the store's publicity material.
Any suggestions would be welcome.
Thanks
John Yanchek

Amazing Yan.....Cant beat it ! WOW, everyone (including me) likes the Amazing Yan. I still have two hours before they print the fliers, so there is still time for someone to try and beat it.

I'm going to admit complete ignorance here (not the first time by a long shot), but what exactly is gospel magic?

I'm going to admit complete ignorance here (not the first time by a long shot), but what exactly is gospel magic? Gospel magic is using magic tricks to teach a Bible story or some truth about the Christian faith. For example, I have a "Magic Coloring Book Bible". I flip through it and the pages are blank. I would say something like many people think the Bible is boring. I flip through it again and there are black and white pictures. I say that if you actually read it, there are interesting stories. I flip through it a third time and the pictures are in color. I say that you can always find something new in the Bible no matter how many times you read it. I used to do about half gospel tricks and half "regular" magic tricks.

Truly a great day. I've named a gospel magician. People can say what they will about me but none of them have ever named a gospel magician before.

The Amazing Yan made his debut today.
I was nervous because I had not done my magic in five years. And I was really nervous because I only had a small table, so I had to use close up magic and not my props. Close up magic takes a little more skill. But it went great. I don't know who had more fun, me or the kids.
Next up for the Amazing Yan is my store's kids club on June 30. This will be all me. Today I was a small part of the store's Kids Fest. But on the 30th, it will be all The AMAZING YAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
