Invest into property on the West Coast. Sad to say that 100K isn't as much as you think it would be... Hope you weren't thinking LA or San Diego...Swarm. 100K isn't going to get you much...100M would be worth investing in Real Estate in the So Cal Area as you'd turn 200M over night with how over priced land is there. Even in the Colorado Springs market $100K isn't going to get you much in the way of real estate... Me...invest the 100K in a tech company...computer Memory or storage since Windows Vista is gonna demand way more of both on new systems...I think you'd get a decent return for the money

I'd use half to pay bills, and the other half to start a comic book store

That better be to Ireland if you know what's good for you, boyo. I hope you guys talk about these things off the message board, too! As for me, I'd pay off my bills (except mortgage), and stick the rest in my retirement account and watch the compound interest do its magic.

Invest into property on the West Coast. Sad to say that 100K isn't as much as you think it would be... I knew someone was going to say this and you are right 100k isn't much at all but it's still 100K and that along with another investor (say a parent) and some savings (say maybe another 100k) and that's what I would do with it. Just too much appreciation out there not to think about it.

Three words: jewel encrusted crapper. Hell yeah. Throw in a few rolls of TP woven out of fine silk and you've got a throne room fit for a king!
