I posted in a jesting manner. I may not like the guy but come on! It was so there to be said. Christ joe you need to deal with your own d!ck riding issues. Mr.Calling the Kettle Black. So back the f*ck up buddy. I don't have a problem with you so stop the spooning your pal Swarm everytime someone makes a comment. He is a big boy and can fend for himself. You coming to his aid cramps his style. Christ what is it with you and The Detroit Spooning Posse. I hope with all this up in arms defending of one another your actually giving each other a reach around. Ok, this post is so hilarious. I found a few things I had to bring up: 1. Swear filter avoided. Should be a ban but probably won't. 2. CPB telling someone that other's friends can "fend for themselves" was awesome. Talk about Pot Calling the Kettle Black. CPB makes posts all the time backing his buddies. 3. Calling us the Spooning Posse - wow, so clever. And hoping we're giving each other "reach arounds." Dr. Freud might have a thought or 2 on that last part. 4. Then says we're "all in arms" and we should "let up." The best part of the post. After a huge rant, WE should all let up. Too funny. ...I thought Canadians were supposed to be all nice and stuff. ;D eh...I simply chalk up CPB's name-calling, trolling, and relentless obsession with chasing us around the boards as nothing more than clear jealously... really, CPB is the TNA of the COTG community to our WWE... maybe we push the envelope, stir the pot a little, create some noise, just like Vince, all the while he does his best to mirror our fire, fighting back with his flippity-floppity cluster f*** posts and draws nothing... ...and he doesn't like that... so he tries to bring us down, call us names and rally the troops against Swarm and his buddies... but the ratings keep coming in strong...the threads we start remain popular, often read, and fun... and it drives him nuts... he's trying to do the same thing, but he's doing it wrong. It sucks. spoons? I mean, c'mon. that's the best you've got? maybe he should change his name to Canadian Six Sided Ring... I don't know. |

Okay, retardedly enough, this whole thing is my fault...it's true, Joe and i had a conversation about...whatever, I'm not even going to say it...and he chose this as an example of it....Thing is though, CPB and BrianU's comments weren't even offensive...Well, their first comments anyhow..  That all being said, Joe, I get what you meant...And I've avoided further involvement on the subject... Oh yeah, and Payback, the swear breach was also my fault...I forgot the first/last letters part when astericiing (SO not a word), profanity...I told Pittbull all that was needed was astrices, I didn't say the whole middle of the word, so again, my fault...I'll accept le ban... Anyway, all in all, as long as tempers don't flare, and people (or people's friends/brothers/spouces) don't get offended, funny s**t like this can happen... EDIT: Oh yeah, forgot...I don't know what things are like in the US, but here, grown men who spoon are usually put to death...That or the people who see it kill themselves...oddly enough, you can also marry your lawnchair here, so who knows... ;D <Cheap Plug incoming> Oh, and go read my fed... ;D |

Just pointing out that the swear filter part is in the sticky posted at the top of each board (Announcement: Code of CotG Discussion) so, as with all the rules, if you miss it, it's no one's fault but your own.
Just pointing it out in fairness, because I believe it was Gatekeeper making a similar argument when Swarm was banned for violating the rule in his fed, although the specific instance cited was the ignorance about the fed forum no longer being immune the rule, if I recall correctly. It didn't work then.

We've had some complaints about language, content in the thread, so like someone said, while it was in good fun, the easiest thing to do is just lock it. (Since I'm here at night...I guess I get the honors!)  |

Also, I wanted to make a quick statement re: filter-dodging.
Usually when I see an "unapproved" censoring, I'll just edit the filter to pick that one up from now on; the one saving grace of the filter is that it's constant, so any changes made to it are retroactively applied to every post. It's only repeated violations that generally warrant a reprimand.
