My roommate is a very strict vegan and never makes an issue out of me eating meat. People who do don't respect other's opinions, plain and simple.

Trav, your organic store protest sounds hilarious. I'd like to see that footage if you ever decide to act on it.
As for throwing the burger at the Wendy's dude, you've done what I've only dreamed of doing time and time again. I'm a pretty busy person, so I eat a lot of fast food, and it's infuriating when you're in a hurry and they screw your order up. It's just one of those little things that can mess up your whole day.
Question: what is the difference between a vegeterian and a vegan, or is it the same thing?

Question: what is the difference between a vegeterian and a vegan, or is it the same thing? A vegan will only eat vegatables, will not drink milk nor eat eggs. Some vegetarians can and do eat some meats occasionally, but mostly only poultry or fish. They may also eat eggs and/or drink milk. This just came up a few days ago at my house and my g/f explained it to me.

Some people are vegetarian for health reasons. They sometimes eat fish, and I know some who call themselves vegetarians who also eat chicken now and then.
Others don't eat meat for moral reasons, and I'm fairly sure they don't eat the flesh of any kind of animal.
And Traviz is spot on, Vegans will not eat meat or any animal product.

Well true vegetarians don't eat meat. Pescatarians allow themselves fish. Someone that eats fish and chicken? That's a carnivore

There are different grades of vegetarianism, I think. Like "lactovegetarian" will drink cow's milk but all veggies otherwise. "Ovovegetarian" does eggs. "Lacto-ovovegetarian" does both.
I'm not making this up. Really. I work around words for a living. It's a curse.
