I forgot about Flair, I tried to talk him into the game and he gave me the "I'm with the fed excuse" Samoa Joe had the same kind of excuse but with TnA. I did get to meet the Killer Bees when I was like 12-13 and I have their autograph. I would like to meet Dr.Death though. I always made time to watcg Doc matches, and would mark out for him big time.

Never met any LOW legends that I can think of right now. Always thought of visiting Killer Kowalski's school in Malden when I was going to school in Boston, but never got around to it.
I have met Bobby Eaton, Ricky Morton, Sherri Martel, Joey Mercury, Christian York, and had a brief conversation with Gillberg. Used to be on Arn Anderson's mailing list when he would send out daily motivation e-mails, after a couple of e-mail exchanges with him (I remember seeing Ty States on this e-mail list as well). I had a couple of e-mail conversations with Ted Dibiase as well.
Most meaningful meeting with a professional wrestler was Ricky Steamboat. My brother knew the local indie promoter, and the promoter allowed me to talk to Ricky before the line even started for the pre-show autograph signing. I thanked Steamboat, because growing up in the 80s, he was the only hero I had that looked like me, and didn't have to play any Asian stereotype - at least when he was in NWA/WCW. I was seriously shocked to find him in WCW speaking English without an accent, and representing an all-American athlete who just happened to have Asian blood. That meant a lot to me back then. Steamboat was also touched by these words.

I've met a few guys but I have a good story about 1 in particular.
When I was about 10, my dad took me to a house show at The Palace of Auburn Hills.
Went to a merchandise stand and dad got me a poster of Billy Jack Haynes, who was big at the time.
As we were walking back to our seats, we see a bunch of people crowded around someone. As we get closer I see that it's Leaping Lanny Poffo.
I go up to him and get his autograph but realize I only have the Billy Jack poster. I ask him to sign it and he does.
Feeling bad, I say, "I wanted to get one of you but this is the only one they had." ;D
(C'mon I was 10 and trying to make the guy feel better.)
I get a good laugh everytime I think of that story.

That is really funny. Great line for a 10 year old. I guess the only other thing you could have asked was for him to compose a poem on the spot for you too.

Guys I've worked with (since Mike Fortune started it!) First, guys in the game: King Kong Bundy (very funny guy. Been on anbout a half dozen shows with him)
Iron Sheik (didn't talk to him as much as witness "The Sheiky show". Was going off about the woman at the desk at the airport and use d a sting of profanitites that will stay with me forver!)
Road Warrior Hawk (months before his passing. A great guy who had genuinely turned his life around. One of the great memories of my life will be when it was just me, Iron Sheik, and Hawk in the locker room and hearing Hawk reminiscing about a tour of Italy he was on with Sheik in the early 90s, the wild times they had, then trying to minister to Sheik. Hawk was a good man.)
Dan Severn Cowboy Bob Orton Hacksaw Duggan Brutus Beefcake (the opposite of Hawk. Biggest "feminine hygene product" I've ever been in the same room with. Wouldn't sign autographs for fans in attendance unless they bought his crap, cheap copied 8x10s for $20. Rude to the fans and a piece of garbage all around. never saw a man drink so much beer before getting in a ring.)
Virgil (If you want to know how great he is, just ask him.) Jimmy Valiant
Superfly Jimmy Snuka- I wrestled Snuka one-on-one on a show about 4 years ago. Snuka was one of my two favorite wrestlers growing up (Rick Rude the other), and taking the Superfly Splash is one of the great memories in my life (second only to the birth of my children, of course). That was one of the last "full" Superfly Splashes Snuka ever did :the climb to the top, the double 'I love you' hands to the crowd, and the full leap half across the ring.
Guys not in the game: Terry Funk Nasty Boy Saggs Honky Tonk Man (worked a tag match against him. Never had an easier match than the one agains the "man of no bumps")
Kamala (a tag against him as well from when I was doing tags. Kamala could be one of the most underrated of all time)
Mad Dog Vachon was kind of an interesting one. He showed up unannounced to a show I was working on since he was visiting family in the area and asked to talk to the fans and sign autos. The promoter, of course, let him and he was very friendly to everyone. Of course his angle was to sell 8x10s and take some polaroids and he made some money out of the deal, but it was a really stange thing to have happen.
current stars: Christian Cage (back in 97 before he went to the WWF) Rhino (Rhino Richards back then. A Michigan mainstay back then) CM Punk (never liked the guy personally, but I always knew he'd make some money. Very determined) Colt Cabana Shark Boy (he had just done a taping for TNA the day before and had his head just about kicked off by Homicide, so he couldn't do much in our match.)
There are probably more that someone would call "stars", but I can't think of them right now.

When I was a kid I met a lot of the old time WWF guys like Backlund, The Grand Wizard, Andre The Giant and Bruno Sammartino. The one I'll never forget is Greg Valentine. I was maybe 10 ten years old when me and a bunch of kids were waiting around after a show trying to get some autographs. Out walks Valentine who took one look at us told us to F off. What a great guy

Among LOW players, we met Buff Bagwell and Jim Duggan at their respective appearances in Columbus at Origins.
Bagwell was cordial and had fun with the kids, but looked like he would rather be elsewhere.
Duggan was a riot! Very genuine, very enthusiastic, very charming. Interacted with all the kids and really got into the match. He played Bundy, and we played Duggan. Since there was a long line, me and the three kids all took turns rolling, while Hacksaw kept shouting "Illegal Tag! Illegal Tag!", and when the action slowed down, he yelled, "Come on, People! This place sounds like a library!"
The greatest part of Duggan's appearance was just how many Origins attendees responded to him. There were hundreds, if not a thousand or more, in the convention hall, but only 20-30 at the Legends table when we were there. Still, whenever Hacksaw would yell "HEY-O!!!", there must have been hundreds of echoes among the other convention-goers yelling in response.
I also met Ted DiBiase at a local speaking engagement and he was very giving of his time.
I have met a number of non-LOW personalities at various events. I'll not go through the whole list, but I will say that the nicest and most accomodating of all the performers was Shark Boy.

I have had the chance to meet a few. Kevin Nash-super cool Owen Hart(RIP)-very nice signed an autograph, funny story ran into him going to the mens room, I said hey your Owen Hart he said yeah I am just as soon as I piss. he came back out and was real pleasant Lex Luger- Jerk Steve Austin- had a beer with him. Very polite but a bit stand offish Jake Roberts-funny wanted to know how much for the women. I was with a couple of women. In retrospect I should have sold one(my ex wife) Undertaker- the only person to intimidate me(the biker persona can't explain why he did)

Payback delivers the Virgil line the best in person since he was there (I believe) and I wasn't, but I'll swipe it here.
Virgil couldn't understand why people were spending so much time doing other things at the Con than coming to the wrestlers' tables and paying too much money for a has-been's autograph. He was told, "We're all here for the game."
A put-out-sounding Virgil replied: "What's the game?"
Yeah, I stayed away from him, too.

I've met Kanyon and Debra McMichael when they both were in WCW and Kanyon was Mortis.
I use to run into Maven all the time down in Harrisonburg when I was in college down there for a while at B-Dubs, Blockbuster, and random parties. Spoke to him 2 or 3 different times, seemed like a pretty decent dude.
