We got to talk to a lot of the wrestlers. Grant was a lot more sociable then I was. We pretty much talked to whoever looked like they weren't too pissed to talk at. I think ten minutes with Slick was our longest conversation.

You got to meet Road Warrior Animal. Now I am jealous Yeah...about that.. I put the LOW card down in front of Animal and he looks at it and says, "What is this?" I said it's from LOW from Filsinger Games. He says, "Yeah, I threw this contract away! I never signed it!!" I said, "Well, I know nothing about that, I'm just a fan." and he said, "Yeah, I know, but you can't use a guy without giving him money! I own this name!" Then he looks around. "Is this Filsinger guy here?!" I said no. He signed it and took a photo and then I RAN LIKE HELL!!

The people we talked to about the game: Molly Holl Scott Norton - who was the most excited out of all of them about it. Ultimo Dragon Cheerleader Melissa (indy) Sexy Chino (Indy) Rock Riddle - www.hollywoodsuccess.com/rock_riddle.htmThere wasn't enough time to talk to piper about it.

What's really funny about that story is we were telling guys like Scott Norton and Ultimo Dragon that we worked for the game.
What I think may be the issue here is Grant gave Animal the newer version of the card to sign and Animal didn't recognize it. Nikolai Volkoff didn't recognize the Bepo Mongol art either. Dallas Page and *choke* Greg Valentine both commented about how great they thought the game was. Actually, now that I think of it Grant, you said Animal mentioned he thought it was a great game too right?

Oh oh that doesn't sound good
At least he signed the card anyway
If I remeber right The main reason Tom got the Road Warriors signed was because of Hawk
Now what happen after that only Tom can answer

But I promised Slick I wouldn't give out his info! Actually, like Grant said to me at the con, you can find his ministries on the internet so I can easily push Tom in the right direction. Tom better be a Baptist though. That's all I'm saying.

Yeah, Animal said it was a great concept, but he never approved. I've e-mailed Tom since who said that this has come up before and they've delt with it. Animal was cranky about the whole fest I think. Yeah, I was schmoozin other wrestlers saying, "I do some work for this game..." and I'd show them cards and talk to them about it.
With Animal I pulled a Jimmy Hart - I DIDN'T DO NOTHING - type attitude.
Also, another funny story, when I met Nick Bockwinkle he let me hold the belt for the photo and he SLAPPED it hard on my stomach and I turned to him and said, "Hey man! Take it easy! i ain't no wrestler!!!"

Yeah, Animal was very upset. After he stopped signing autographs he stood a mere 5 feet from me, Grant and Mark the Englishman (a guy Grant gave a ride to the Shereton the previous day) and was on the cell phone complaining. Didn't hear what he said but he signed an autograph or two. He then walked off and as I watched him, a fan walked up from behind and asked if he could sign a poster. Animal stopped, stod for a split second and sighed. Then turned around and signed it. Animal took the whole event pretty hard. Another one that took it pretty hard was Scott Norton.
Me and Grant are standing there the second day and Scott is setting up. I had seen Norton the day before and he was in a good mood but Saturday he was livid. The table he picked had rolled up event posters on them. He picked them up and threw them on the floor. He got a staffer's attention and they went behind a curtain for a bit. All the while I'm telling Grant that I wasn't about to go over to him and talk about LOW. I didn't want to get my ass kicked. So, eventually Scott is sitting there (with no line, let me add that) and me and grant muster enough balls to go over and talk to him.
We apologize for the way things were turning out and he was really polite and told us not to worry about it. I said we were kinda afraid to approache him and he told us never to be afraid. We talked a little about the crappiness of the event and took photos. He signed my t-shirt (which I lost, more on that later). We then told him about LOW and his response was very positive. He said that the game would be something he really should do. He told us that in Japan he gets paid well but American wrestlers aren't promoted over there as much. He doesn't wrestle as much over here so nobody knows who he is anymore. He figured LOW could help. We told him there was no worry about the people who play LOW not knowing who he is. I said that the people on this board were always talking about how cool it would be to have Scott Norton in and that Buff was already in for a Vicious and Delicious rebirth. Scott Norton is awesome.

Great to hear Norton was a great guy
To bad Animal wasn't in a great mood
Then again most of the wrestlers there I am sure were in a pissed off mood even if they didn't show it
At least they showed up for the fans unlike the others that didn't appear that didn't have legit reasons not to show

Blue Meanie told us that they hadn't got paid for their matches. He said "what are you going to do, I'm here for the fans" or something like that. He said that he stayed because if all the wrestlers had left, the fans would have really got the shaft. Plus it makes people like the Meanie and Zybysko look good. Meanie didn't even get upset when I asked him if he'd say hi to my mom on the cell phone. I would have only done it to Meanie though (or Larry). Wouldnt have pushed my luck with anybnody else.

Wow, that really looks like a lot of fun! It's really a good thing you didn't throw a Heidenreich card down in front of Animal... Harley Race would have been awesome to see, and of course, Ted Dibiase - probably my favorite classic-style wrestler! Note: I'd love to have a Nora Greenwald LoW card. Tom?!
