Well it's already down to Morbid by the looks of it. Guess he'll have to send in more.
(And Nikki rules, that's why you kick out Hegemony first)

It's subjective - I see Hegemony (the character, HOPEFULLY nobody is picking on Hegemony the poster) as one of the most unique heels ever. Sure, he's got crappy stats but it really goes against my sensibilities for girls to do better than guys in these matches. Oh well, Morbid was going to be the only one to survive anyway.

Thats what I love about the Hegemony character, he is a heel to many, but a face to wrestling purists. He is able to turn two groups of wrestling fans against each other and thats awsome. I am firmly in the heel Hegemony camp. I personally think it would be hilarious if Hegemony the person was given a moderator spot, but continued to play the kayfabe Hegemony character. Swarm may never get another post in...uneditted atleast.

I love the Hegemony character.....in many ways, I do agree with that wrestling purist mantra.....and just from a GWFZ standpoint, he makes a great persona, lecturing the fans and whatnot. He's one of my favorites from PM.

I LOVE Hegemony (the COTG card...). GREAT heel. The best heel in PM imo. Stats are good but character is different...
Awesome character.
But I had to boot him...Morbid just seems like he would do real well in a battle royal brawl.

Note – This is a rare post that breaks “kayfabe,” although as is true in many scenarios in professional wrestling, the line between kayfabe and real-life is rarely as distinct as it may seem. Thank you all for the kind words regarding “Hegemony,” he was a great character for me to create in relation to things going on in my real-life at the time. I am currently working through grad-school and was feeling a bit discouraged in regards to my academic work, and having the outlet to blend this world of academia with Filsinger Games was truly a joy. And the fact that Hegemony is a disgruntled grad student himself makes him pretty autobiographical, although I lack an athletic bone in my body unlike our detested PM heel. In terms of his “crappy” stats, I actually had his original stats even weaker than they turned out, at least offensively. My idea was that he had spent years as a training academic, missing out on some early years of training physically in exchange for training intellectually. However, it is my hope that at some point in the future, either via a subsequent PM release or COTG-Online, that he improves in the ring defensively, as I figure that he will be better able to deal with the pain associated with actual wrestling matches once he has experienced it for a few years. What he may lack currently regarding defensive stats, I feel he makes up for with his mic-skills and cunning. He is designed to be an instigator, and his potential for stirring the pot is up to each individual promoter. My original idea was to pair him up with a stronger character or faction where he could serve as a mouthpiece, generating heat for a small group that could use it. But, that is obviously up to each individual. In terms of him being a face, I like the fact that he stirs emotions and isn’t hated by all fans. This rings very true today in the current wrestling landscape, as all wrestling fans are not the same and may have different reasons to root for or against a particular performer. What really sets people off about Hegemony in my mind, is the fact that he is almost too passionate about his position, both because he believes in it so strongly and because his training in academia is not perfectly suited to communicating with others without sounding condescending. Let’s just say I see this in my job every day, snooty academics that exist within their ivory towers, losing all touch with people outside of this bubble. Hegemony just doesn’t know how to relate to many people, especially those that disagree with his position, echoing many sentiments found among Internet wrestling fans, which is obviously the other inspiration for the character. As I said, this post is both breaking kayfabe and completely in character, as is everything we do in life. A public persona is a sort of character, and as many WWE performers state with regularity, all great wrestling personas are just extensions of the person in real life. Am I as strident and arrogant as Hegemony in real life? I would hope not, but my friends, family, and co-workers may say differently on a given day. And I do agree with Reno and Aquinas in that I do tend to enjoy the scientific style of professional wrestling more than McMahon’s “circus” As for the budding “Hegemony for Moderator” sentiment, well, imagine the fun we could have. Perhaps I would have to institute a policy of having to praise Euritar and Bryan Danielson in EACH and EVERY post made by members of the COTG community. And the WWE marks would probably migrate to the Deuce, which could be comedy gold.

From the opening bell Morbid took control of Hegemony. Punches, Kicks, and a devastating Bloody Strait Jacket ended Hegemonys chances of winning the rumble. But, Hegemonys night wasn't done, after regaining his senses he grabbed Nightmare Nikki by the back of her hair and pulled out of the ring while screaming "Another thing, women don't belong in the same ring as men, it makes wrestling look barbaric, fake, and indecorous. Out of the ring Nikki shot Hegemony an I'm going to kill you stare and chased him back into the locker room. This left Morbid all alone in the ring. "Is there no one brave enough to get into the ring against me?" Kevin Knipes creation Assassin X music starts to play. Having been told he couldn't enter the ring until after the forth man in the rumble had, he was carrying John Yahcheks Cuddley Claw in his arm. he points too Morbid and enters the ring.
Next update tonight.
