However, you guys think Sgt. Slaughter, LT, Mr. T, etc. are better than Sting, Ricky Steamboat, the Road Warriors, the Steiner Brothers, Owen Hart, Davey Boy Jones, and Arn Anderson, then don't whine when you're laughed at. Yet that's all beside the point. Since because I can't believe you're stupid enough to think LT is a better wrestler , then it's totally obvious you're saying things to 'tweak' people. It's kinda childish to me, cuz I like to debate people straight up. Resorting to that stuff just tells people I have no real argument. If you don't main event WrestleMania, someone who does is better. It's not rocket science. Not meant to "tweak" people. It's to believe I know, but that's what Swarm and I feel. We have this crazy notion that if you main event the top PPV in the top company, then you are better than someone who hasn't. That's as "straight up" as I can be.

I guess we all just have differing views on what is "better". Better, by your definition, is who is written into the main event of WM. Better by my definition is the mix of wrestling talent and personality. Better by other people's definitions might be the best high flyer or the best power wrestler. I'm not going to "come at" anybody for their opinion, but I just don't judge the worth of a wrestle by where Vince McMahon puts them in the lineup. You are company guys, from the sound of it (what WWE deems is the best is automatically the best in your books). And that's fine, but most people don't think that way. The Great Khali main-evented the last PPV....and other than a minority of you guys....the general consensus is that he sucks. Can't wrestle a lick and has ZERO personality. There are midcarders in TNA who have everything over him.

There are midcarders in TNA who have everything over him. Read this again. It's true. "Better" is subjective. But if you want to talk facts...undistupitable facts...the fact is the Main Event of Wrestlemania is the best spot on the best card of the best fed on the planet. So making it there beats the crap out of all else. Sting may have been good, but based on facts, and only facts, Mr. T made it farther in wrestling than Sting. That's a fact. There you go. If you want to say someone is "better" fine. That's cool. It's subjective. But facts are facts. And the facts are that Sting never made it to the top of this business while many others have. Period.

Now, I wasn't following wrestling at the time, but wasn't Starcade 1997 higher rated than the Wrestlemania of that year and Sting did headline that vs. Hogan. How does this factor into that equation?

I love Sting. Sting is one of my favorite wrestlers from my youth, and even today when he lets out that Stinger yell and he beats his chest, it makes me smile. He was and is awesome. But I have no idea how he's winning this poll.

Maybe he's getting a counter-Detroit rub

And all debating aside, I firmly believe there will be a day that Sting is in the WWE Hall of Fame. Not sure how (obviously, it would have to be post-TNA).....but if they honored AWA guys who never/seldom set foot in the WWF/WWE, I think they'll honor the Stinger. At least I hope so....it'd be cool to see a HoF induction with someone like Flair doing the intro. And I think it's safe to say that Flair would be crying at some point

Maybe he's getting a counter-Detroit rub Oh for sure. He was down until Payback and I piped up now he's losing. I'm fine with it I'm sure HBK and Mr. T are too.

I doubt you'll see Sting in the WWE HOF.
The AWA guys got in because they folded before Vince bought up everyone so he'll give those guys a pass, but not a guy who never worked for him, but could have.

Sting's got an open invitation whenever he wants it -- I'd bet on it. Vince isn't that close-minded. Granted, Sting might be....but if Sting displayed an open mind to WWE, Vince would welcome him. For any faults Vince has, his commitment to the legends of the sport is undeniable.

Even more glad I voted for Payback a few polls back.... Happy Sting cut promos that rocked- better than anything Michaels could do. Incognito is right about the wrestling aspect.

I understand the Main Eventing Wrestlemania point, yet The Ultimate Warrior main evented, and so did Diesel. Is there any doubt Sting is like a better version of the Warrior? I like them both, but voted HBK
