It's like saying someone is a good person because they are rich and make a lot of money at their job.

not really. Cena makes money because he is talented. Lawler never made it where it counts because he was terrible.
If he's so great, why was he never WWF, WWE, NWA, or WCW Champion?
I mean, what more proof do you need?
It's not complicated.

Don't feel bad, I have a mancrush on Tom Brady. Mostly because he's so dreamy.

Milli Vanilli, since you brought them up, is more like Christian Cage than anyone else if you must tie them into wrestling...
over-hyped, false, fake, and exposed once he showed up in TNA.
It took what, three seconds to figure out Vince and the WWE made Christian not Christian?
He was one the the best guys in wrestling under the WWE banner, and now he is garbage. He has made no improvements in the ring (I used to laugh when you guys said WWE was holding his ring work back and he'd be able to let loose in TNA...) his mic skills are sub-par at best without Edge and the WWE writers to help him, and he still looks like a skinny twerp.
those are the facts.

You're prolly right on this one. Cena is more like Vanilla Ice. Made a ton of money...and still sucks. Rather then restrict everything to how much money a guy did or didn't make, look at the guys in ring ability and mic work. Granted Cena can work a mic, but he's not a good worker..not like Lawler was. They both have very limited movesets, but like others have said, Lawler knew how to pace and tell a story. Two things Cena for the most part, lacks. You can counter by telling me how many titles Cena held or how many 100 dollar bills he has in his wallet, but that doesn't make ability in the ring. For example, his finisher is a submission move. The guy has no clue as to how to build up to that move. How does the FU, five knuckle shuffle, or his flying shoulder block set up for the STFU? It doesn't. His matches are choppy at best. And I can tell you this, if he ever needed to, he could never carry a match like Lawler could against a subpar worker. for a good match to take place with Cena you almost have to put him in the ring with another solid performer, or it's doomed.

There are also a lot of wrestlers who many would consider far great then Cena that never wore the WWE title.

So Cena only puts on good matches at PPVs?
Thats BS. if you actually think Cena is a better worker then Lawler, you have no grasp of the profession at all.

BTW Rob...it wasn't Jarrett or Lawler that came crawling to Vince looking for work....Vince asked them to join

Yes but I think this would be all solved if we knew who had the most total record sales... Milli Vanilli Or Vanilla Ice?

if it wasn't for guys like Jerry Lawler Cena would be selling his bad rap album out of the back of his volkswagon.

I know the truth. I've seen it. you have not. you have no reference point therefore you have no business making the claims you have made in this thread. you can like, and dislike whomever you want. that's fine. but stick to talking about the things you know, like backyard garbage wrestling and leave the discussions about the big boys to the big boys. peace.

Maybe a something even sportier? Then again Cena could drop a new rap album with K-fed. Could be the new Milli Vanilli/Vanilla Ice? LOL!

See what happens. You come on here and get personal with it. Lets face it, all you care about is WWE and assume that all I know about is garbage wrestling. Sorry buddy, you're talkin out of your *** there. I've seen more then my share of Cena matches. And in no way does he compare to LAwler. Just because I call myself DMK doesn't mean a damn thing. And I've said it more then once, I find all types of wrestling enjoyable. And actually grew up watching WWF and WCW. You frequently come on here and spew bull. But it appears OK for you to do that. All Im arguing is the fact that Lawler was better then Cena. Get off your high horse. Your a WWE fanboy and as far as I'm concerend,WWE is just like Garbage wrestling, minus the barbed-wire and workrate.

I voted for Cena. His matches with Edge will go down as one of the greatest feuds in WWE history. Both guys wrestled great in those matches.
But I have to give Lawler some credit. From what I remember of his matches (and it has been a long time since I have watched a Jerry Lawler match) he was not a great wrestler but did a great job of getting the fans to hate him during the course of a match. So while he may have been limited in wrestling ability, he excelled at the ring psychology aspect of the sport, which is a very important aspect of a successful wrestler.
