I'm gonna say Jerry Lawler.
I liked his feuds with Bret Hart (started after Bret won KOTR oddly enough). His stuff wityh Warrior was pretty good, too.
Plus as an announcer, he'sone of the best.

I loved The Macho King. He was awesome and a nice extension of Randy Savage's career.
I think Lawler is one of the crappiest announcers ever. He was fine when he began, but I can't remember the last time he didn't come off as an old freaking pervert. I think he sucks.

Have to go with Savage. Doesn't hurt that he had a queen along for the ride.

Swa..er Dead Ringer, it's really a shame people like you and fans today have to see Lawler's idiotic perverted announcing act. The guy was one of the most fantastic interviews in the history of the business in his day . Now he's simply a laughing stock.

I chose Owen though...loved his King of Harts gimmick.

Macho wins prety handily, but I thought Angle's run as King -- especially with the dorky crown -- was one of the earlier displays of his character-building.

Randy Savage is one of my all-time favorites, too, but Triple H has passed him on the all-time great list, in my opinion.

Savage... by far above anyone else listed or mentioned.
Race is an a true icon, but the King gimmick really never fit him. Lawler - if it's 1980s Memphis then yes... current Lawler is an annoying joke Haku - no comment needed Duggan - wasnt even a "King" in Mid-South/UWF although he was "The Man", in WWF he was quite annoying Booker T - All Hail King Boo--*click* Owen - The only one on this list that even comes close to the Macho King Preparation H - quite possbily Stephanie's Queen :-P

Savage got my vote though Booker could be fun...Though he should be the Booker King not King Booker

Triple H just barely above Savage
I have respect for any man who can politically align himself to get his way. Love it or hate it, it takes a level of cunning which I am a huge fan of.

Savage got my vote though Booker could be fun...Though he should be the Booker King not King Booker sounds to much like "Burger King" and "Booger King"...which could work actually if they wanted him to simply be a comedic character... But I'd like to see the man be taken seriously and see a WWE Title around his waist sooner than later...

What about King Mable? (j/k)
I liked Savage and Trips, but to me Owen Hart was the most entertaining to me.
