I'm going with the Dodgers. They have been on an unbelievable roll down the stretch and I think they'll pull it off.
If not, then the Yankees.

I hate the Yankees. Even though I can understand D-town probably having similar feelings about the Twins right now, I think that the Twins are still the scariest team, with or without Liriano.

Obviously want the Tigers to do it, but judging with my brain and not my heart, I'd say the Dodgers.

Yankees in a rout over the Mets in a Subway Series. The Yankees just have too much hitting, and nobody else in what's a relatively weak playoff field has the kind of Schilling/Johnson 1-2 punch to dominate in a short series and shut their bats down, in my opinion.

I hate to admit this as a diehard Cardinal fan, but my brain says Twins. They are an excellent TEAM. Not just a bunch of guys brought together.

I am going with the Dodgers whose 7 game winning streak to close out the year makes them currently the hottest team in baseball. I hope it is the Dodgers over the Yankees in the World Series.

I can see Dodgers - Twins. The Yankees just don't have that air of invulnerability like they used to. Minnesota has been strong from since before the all-star break. Dodgers or Cards in the NL. St. Louis sucked the last two weeks but are good enough to turn it around. I think the Mets and Yankees are the only two that I don't want to see in the World Series.

Problem with the Dodgers winning: San Diego has been on a similar roll and has LA's number. I pick the Yankees over San Diego, a repeat of the 99 World Series which I had GAME 5 TICKETS TO AND FLEW TO SAN DIEGO FOR AND THE PADS GOT SWEPT!
I effing hate the Yankees.

As long as it isn't the Yankees, I don't care. I voted Tigers for the heck of it.

What a showing by the Padres that year!

San Diego has done really well against the Dodgers this year and has given Brad Penny in particular all kinds of problems. But the Yankees-Padres World Series was in 1998 (I remember going to see the Padres play that year during the regular season). The 1999 World Series involved the Yankees and the Braves.

They Yankees have a great offense, but in the playoffs, power pitching usually wins out. The Yanks don't have a lot of power pitchers on their staff.

I picked the Yankees. Figure this year King George gets what he paid for.

I picked the Yankees. Figure this year King George gets what he paid for. I also really like the Yankees chances. Robinson Cano hit .342 during the regular season and he is currently their #9 hitter.

Going with the Twins. Never count them out just yet. They weren't even wild card consideration by All Star break, then they whooped some ass and won the division...no small feat considering Chicago and Detroit were way ahead of everyone else.
