I use present day music for my guys... Wolf-"Lust For Life" Thantos-"Unholy" Apocalypse-"Theme from the movie Zombie" Star Warrior-"Prince of the Universe" just to name a few That's cool ST. I always associated game year intro music as being somewhat tied in with the years from our century (2070's equaling 70's music, etc.). Some other favorite entrance themes from 2087 Massif The O'Jays 'Love Train'* After an angle where Massif was blinded by Exo King and put out of action for 4 months...creative 'repackaged' the big man upon his return with a more spiritual theme to play up the supernal nature of his rebirth (and build to the money revenge match with EK) so we used Bob Marley 'One Love'...it worked as he became more popular than ever...once the audio sounded and the intro images hit the Paint Dry Tron...the 'sing along' reactions were insane Invincible Krakan 'Theme From Jaws' Commander Sam 'USMC Hymn' Exo-King 'Pomp and Circumstance'
LWPD (Killer Queen was always a difficult character for me to book...I didn't connect with his 'androgynous flamboyance'...yet I couldn't ignore that he was a semi-main event level stalwart in the ring...I ended up giving him a complex 'master of manipulation' Adrian Street-esque persona) Desert loving in your eyes All the way If I listen to your lies Would you say... I'm a man without conviction I'm a man who doesn't know How to sell a contradiction You come and go You come and go
Killer Queen Theme Culture Club 'Karma Chameleon'

Welcome to the jungle --All the Ani-men Bishop Hell and Kraken (tag champs with us) --Hells Bells Thantos -- Darth Vader theme Gladiators -- Welcome to the Machine Vanity -- That's a man Norse Gods -- God of Thunder Massif -- Walk all over you Star Warrior -- Pour some sugar on me (Rob's choice) Greek Gods -- Chariots of Fire Bounty Hunter -- Love it loud Lord Nexus and B.J.B. -- Jungle Boogie

On some guys I use generic theme music if they havent been established or in a mid card funk...I have "Money" by Pink Floyd for Tom...my real guys have their original theme...i.e. Bret Hart...Heart Attack..Eddie Guerrero..Viva La Raza...etc.

The explanation for using music from this time period is two fold.
1) Copyrights are not an issue (yes there are Galactic Copyrights Law) 2) LIke all things, music tends to cycle in popularity. In my New Beginnings era, the "classics" are popular again.

LWPD = odd, but strangely compelling fellow
MarkCPC (Who wishes that we could all pay to use any music we wanted and thus avoid the royalty police at the RIAA, but still wants the musicians to get paid fairly, being one himself)

Lets see some of your 'not so odd' entrance themes from 2087 Mr. CPC LWPD (CPC...the wrestling fed that Couldn't Profit Commercially...but thankfully lives on via the gods of COTG Online)

I've never really imagined entrance themes for most guys, for reasons brought up earlier: not likely that a federation in the 21st-22nd centuries will all be using music from our generation and our planet.
But, off the top of my head, starting with New Beginning guys...
Monolith - 4th movement from Dvorak's Symphony No. 9 ("From the New World"), which you've doubtless heard even if you're not a classical music aficionado.
Endgame - The bombastic John Williams theme of your choice.
Bloodline - "Wherever I May Roam," Metallica
Encubus - "South of Heaven," Slayer
Sly Drury - "God's Gonna Cut You Down," Johnny Cash
Gryt - "Fat Lip," Sum 41
Stars & Stripes - "Born in the USA," Bruce (American Guy being exactly the sort of guy who would have the irony of this selection fly right over his head)
Tricks - "The Carny," Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds
Dead Ringer - "Like a Mirror," Morphine
The Master Race - "Heresy," NIN

Not sure that "God is dead and no-one cares; if there is a hell I'll see you there" is good catch phrase-ology for a couple alien thugs.
