Hey guys...need some help here. I've been talking a little to Dave Meltzer from www.wrestlingobserver.com and his advertisement agent about maybe showcasing COTG on the site... I really want to get a feel for whether or not this is a strong benefit to the business... What do you guys think? I'm not super familiar with other sites other than COTG...maybe you guys could give me an insight as to how good the WO might be? I know this is super vague but any feedback would be awesome. Thanks.

Yes.
Anyway of reaching out to a larger fanbase can only help the business. Plus, the ability to play the game online, and the LOW game editions, would both be big selling points to WO subscribers in my opinion.
It can't hurt to try, even if it's costly to advertise there, the long term benefits would make it worthwhile. I think, and I have no way of backing this up, but I think that COTG fans as a whole are pretty loyal and end up being repeat customers.
Look at how many of us have been around for 5, 10, 15, 20+ years now. If one or two additional lifelong fans come out of it, then it's obviously a good investment.

WO is one of the most respected wrestling news sites out there (if not THE most), as is clear by the fact that other places quote them all the time... They ads are also generally on the page itself (rather than pop ups) which I appreciate as a viewer of the site.... I HATE pop ups with a passion, and NEVER look at them. I'd think LoW would make more sense to advertise there, though. They have a pretty obvious bias towards work rate and older stuff (none of the regular writers are big fans of current WWE) so I'd think LoW would serve that sorta market better than CoTG... we can get'em on CoTG once they get here

I think its a good idea.
Here are some questions to ask though:
Where will the ad be featured on the site? How long will the ad run for the cost? How many hits a day does their site get? Discounts for return (future) advertisements?
Just a baseline for what you want to know from anyone you will be advertising with.

Wildfire is dead on too as far as the writers go... I've been working on this for a few weeks...have most of the basics figured out. Wanted to throw it past the people to get a feel though. I really appreciate the responses.

More proof that '22' is good for COTG.

Would it be good right now...no. Would it be good in a couple months...oh heck yeah. Wrestling news websites are where I want to focus FG marketing dollars in the future. Help reach out to alot more people all around the world. A few things behind the scenes need to be done first though...

I'd think the release of the next Legends set might be a good time.. especially if the last two cards are good names

Makes a lot more sense to advertise online as opposed to PWI these days.

Absolutely. What wrestling fan doesn't want a sweet wrestling game with so many bad ones out there? COTG is inexpensive too.

Yes, It is a wrestling based product s a wrestling info site would work, dont expect a profit right away is the key. If you would have tried a car magazine or car site then no due to the target audiance. There is a local wrestling show where I live on aug 18th and I planned on passing out homemade flyers promoting the site and its products. I hope this goes well as more publicity = more dollars = more expansion for the community and its sets.
