ok....lets be honest. Which do you prefer, the dice or online ?
For me it's the dice......online is ok, but pressing a button and having instant results....well.....

Dice, because I'm old school like that. I like running through all of my cards and setting up matches as I shuffle through the deck.
But online is also easier to keep discrete about it. Sometimes I leave my cards out on the desk and have to hide them from visitors. ;D

I like dice too but I'll be getting online soon enough. I'm on the computer a lot when I'm not drawing so I like playing in bed with a lap board with the tv on. I'm not very good at keeping a fed going this way though so when I get online you might see more of the fed type stuff from me.

I like the dice. I wanted to give online a try but the game table won't work for me. Myself and the online crew have not been able to figure out why so I'm just out of luck.

Here's the thing. If I have the time to do it, dice absolutely.
But...
Especially with things like the Stat Tracker doing all that boring work for me, plus freeing me up to do more with my feds, like consider angles and stuff and maybe even give more detailed write-ups than I've been able to do in the past, oh, 5 1/2 years (by the way, my older son is...5 1/2), Online is gonna help tons.
So I can't really answer that question, and maybe it's not the right time to ask it yet, as Online has only been available for a few months. Let's give it a lot more time to develop. Something tells me that when this thing really gets going, it's gonna go nuclear.

DICE ;D
I like the idea of online, I see why people like it but I will never give up the dice. It gives a "real" feeling to the game, if I wanted a video game I would have bought one. I really don't like the idea of online editions only (some of us don't have printers or way to print out the cards), my ACE 2121 guys are getting buried because of it the only one left being Esperanto and I may cut him just because I don't like looking up his stats online anymore. I don't mind web exclusive updates like Bloodline and Encubus getting tag updates, but I think new cards should be released to the public the "paper" way so we can have them.
Again nothing at all against COTGonline, its a fine product and a great substitute but it's not for me. And I'm glad other people feel the same way.

Dice for actually having the matches, Stat tracker in place of the notebook (not having to re-rank everyone has freed up a LOT of time as well as being able to find records, awards quickly.) Can't wait for the search option to be up and running.

I use both...but I love the dice, seems like I have more control, and I can be comfortable on the bed watching/listening to pld matches while playing is the ultimate.

I wanted to post and say, I love Online. Dice is cool, but then for some reason I always feel I influence the outcome and I don't want that. I love true randomness and Online allows me to roll for everything, including when to have a segment and then I can hit random to see who the segment is between, which allows for angles I would had never thought of otherwise. Also, I love the colored cards, I love the fact tokens and such are right there at my disposal, I love almost everything about online. I don't like the rankings, but thats because I enjoy my rankings more and have always been a stats kind of guy.
Nothing wrong with either way, but Online is the way to go for this single parent who no longer has to worry about the kids tearing up my cards, they are put away in a safe place nowadays and yes, I will contiue to buy the paper version of each set, but online is a blessing.

I voted for on line (because it's not getting enough love), but truthfully I use both. I roll out matches in front of the computer and when the match is done type out the matches. Also on the same card I will use the game table to roll out some matches and copy the log for the notes and move it to the stat tracker. Some of the fringe matches (lower card women or jobber just for card filler matches I'll even simulate to get over them).... so a combo vote.

Apparently I haven't voted here, so I've had to remedy that. I obviously voted for Online. It saves me a lot of time when I want to play, and that's a precious commodity around here with three kids, a wife, and a business. I still bust out the cards and dice from time to time, but most of my playing is done with COTGonline.

Its funny reading JMello's comments on the online providing more randomness. I remember "He who shall not be named" using the exact same argument for the dice.
Considering I spend most of my day on a computer, I prefer the dice for now. However, I can see the multiplayer aspect shifting my loyalty to the computer in the future.
