Well what does everyone think of the return of an older and wiser Wolf to battle Monolith - nature versus technology. I'm starting to think I don't like it....maybe Wolf should have stayed gone.

I'm not a huge Wolf fan, but (judging by the comments so far) If he was going to come back, this is definately the way to do it.

I dont know - Im very mixed

A - I dont think all this secrecy hype is justified, Wolf is good but I mean ok yeah. Now if Vengeance or Thunder were back or some major twist then ok.

B- In my fed I was very screwed right now Chaos's team is being mauled by Murdok and Nicodemus. He needs someone to help him and it makes perfect sense in my feud because Wolf and Chaos were friends, "Chaos lives for Chaos, and me? I cause chaos." So Wolf will of course come in to battle Murdok as I have bigger plans right now.

C- Havoc will stay Aethran for me as that team needs help with Tauran and Monolith beating up on Disaster right now!

PS - Its fun not playing by the book because of all the weird alliances that sort of make sense and fit better in your crazy little world.

I was always a big Wolf fan (him and Spike reminded me of the Ultimate Warrior, my childhood favorite wrestler). so I like the idea of having an wiser Wolf in the fed (of course, I'm still waaaayyy behind, so it'll be a while before I can appreciate it.

It's a GREAT idea.

Can't believe someone earlier thought the return of Vengeance or Thunder would be bigger. Wow. It just doesn't get any bigger in the COTG universe than Wolf, whether you like him or not.

Vengeance would have been bigger for me, but he's my all time favorite. He's just dead now, though.

I wasn't the biggest Wolf fan, but I really like the new card and the way his return was executed. I like the angle a lot.

I really do hate Wolf, and think it was a bad idea. I would really have rather seen a new Gladiator.

Like I said earlier, I was never a huge Wolf fan. He had moderate success over the years (decades) in my fed. I think he was only a one-time Universal Champion (my top title). I had started to find the wildman headbanger thing tiresome.

With all that said, I am strongly behind this return. I think Tom wrote it brilliantly. The older, wiser Wolf is the best way to go. He's seen lots of challenges, he's been doing God-knows-what in the way of adventuring and keeping himself in shape.....and Payback really made an excellent point too -- it's the ultimate nature vs. technology showdown.

Monolith is a genetic superman that benefited from all the big "beefing up" conventions in the COTG world. Wolf has been and always will be Wolf. True, he got a Cleansing too, but that's about it. I think the feud is great and enough time has passed that for the first time perhaps ever, I'm a HUGE Wolf fan.
