Although I am now working for/with Filsinger Games, I have never created a character for Filsinger Games. Should I be allowed to enter the lottery this year for Promoter Madness 2, or should I be disqualified? I'm on the business side of things and not the creative side, so I am not planning on having an official character any time soon.
I'm not sure which way I would lean...and I want to hear what the community has to say. Of course Tom has the final say on any matter relating to the lottery.

I wish there was a way for everyone on the board to have a shot . Maybe a lottery for one person on the board who can't attend. Is an online lottery possible and the winner gets in PM 2 ? It's only one spot...............
Todd , take it to Tom and you run the online lottery .

The incentive to be at Galacticon in the Promoter Lottery. Same as aCe being digital so you have to get online. So I don't think there should be an online spot for PM2.

I agree with some of your statement without a doubt but there are some who for their own reason can't make it but want to badly. We're only talking about one spot here. Just an idea NM.

I voted yes. Otherwise, I'd be disqualified, too.

I voted yes. Otherwise, I'd be disqualified, too. You'd just make Lance At-Las's bother or bionic girlfriend.

I definately thought about it and even brought it up at the last summit with Tom and Kris. I would only make it open to people who bought PM1 though. I personally think having one spot for the greater COTG community would be worthwhile.

Without a doubt. I think Mark, Kris or anyone should be eligible as long as it isn't a blind drawing and done fairly.
Why, if TM has a good idea, should it be penalized since he is part of the "team"? I'd rather see a good idea out there....

I say go for it. A great character is a great character no matter who it comes from.

Since you have never created an official Filsinger Games character, you absolutely should be eligible for PM2.
I do agree that a major incentive of attending GalactiCon is the chance to win PM; however, 1 spot in a random drawing for those not able to make it would be fine. Remember 15 people (more than 1/3 of the remaining G-Con attendees) are ineligible this year, so I think there's room to lessen by one the number of chances for those going this year and give 1 other person a shot.

i think that you should be eligible...but only if you don't take my spot. If you get picked and i don't then you should give it to me. ;D

Sure you can be in it. Who cares? It's not like you're buying lottery tickets from that convenience store you also happen to own or something.
PS: Although, I'm probably going to make myself unpopular here when I say, so how many PM contests are we going to have? Is this going to become an annual event? Personally, I don't want 75 GWFZ characters floating around out there after PM5 3 years from now. I realize there's only been one so far but everyone is talking like we'll be doing this all the time now. I'm not sure it should be done every year...the CAC contests were better off because they were few and far between.
I'll go hide now.

I can see why Mark has been disallowed since he has created 10 CPC sets at this point already.
I wouldn't worry about oversaturation of PM characters, Promoter Madness may not go beyond set 3, unless there is a HUGE demand for it. So far sales have been good though, and we'll see how things go for next set.
Also expect the PM2 set to be smaller than PM1. I'm guessing 12 cards will be the final count, with 1 earmarked for the Group card at G-con and possibly one marked for a non-attendee. Thats still 10 cards for about 30-40 eligible people, which I think are still some good odds. ;D

Yeah, Mark has created more official characters than anyone not named Tom Filsinger I'm glad to hear PM sales are good -- it's a wonderful set. Even with their own 'fed', they've definitely improved the enjoyment/quality of my GWF.

When I first heard of the Promoter Madness contest, before Tom even said anything to me, I asked him, "You're not putting me in it, are you?" He wasn't, and I was absolutely fine with that. That would just be greedy. Besides, I already know what I'm coming up with. I want to see what everyone else does. Even you, TM, you low-scoring Dark Menace never-will-be.
