The wife and I are thinking about running a convention in Indianapolis sometime in the next year, and we want to gauge interest in it.

Considering that I'm an hour from Indy, the answer is absolutely! Holli will throw in another yes vote when she gets back from doing the shopping, I'm sure.

I'll be in Indy today and live about an hour and 15 minutes away. So I'd vote a yes too.

Well the convention likely won't be until sometime next year. Perhaps around the time aCe comes out. Unless there's a lot of requests for it to be earlier.

Just a suggestion, and maybe call it IndyGalactic? A play on Intergalactic. Just my thought.

Two hours east in Dayton. Would give it serious thought. How much LOW content as opposed to COTG?

If you live within 2 hours from a convention, I'd definitely go if I were you. I attend GalactiCorn every year in Omaha, and it's 2 hours or so to get there from me by the time I swoop over and pick up a fellow promoter on the way. It's a great time, and well worth the 2 hours travel. I'd travel 5 hours if I had to and there was gonna be several promoters there and I had the time to do it. Consider it if it's a couple hours or less it's worth it.

It will be a mixture of everything, LOW, COTG, and Bootlegs.

I'm in Louisville, so I'd be about 75% I could make it there. Should be a good time..

There is also the possibility of conducting CotG/LOW events at the Origins game convention in Columbus over the fourth of July. Tom has attended in the past, but was not here in 2006. If there is enough interest, I will look into hosting one or more tournaments.
