How many different drawings of Antak have there been? I mean I have the one that came with a offical set but in the back of a booklet the is another pic of him and Son of Ram that are well done. Is there a way to get these two cards? DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT? Two I believe. He and Son of Ram also have cards from Son of Bash.

It's your fed promoter. If you want him to stay then have him stay. I think Tom is done with him. Swarm, Unfortunately the classic "it's up to you promoter" is not an option in our fed. Because Josh and I play the game as a competition (think of us as GM's, or Fantasy Football team managers), we agreed, in the interest of fairness to let Tom dictate all decision-making many years ago. In other words, we HAVE follow the book to the letter. This is why I've started the: SAVE ANTAK CAMPAIGN ! The ONLY way ANTAK can remain in our fed is if Tom writes him in. Here's to hoping for a successful campaign (I finished 2nd in our 5th grade class presidency election, so I'm little concerned about my campaigning skills). I would just reiterate one more time, that Tom would not have to change his card: he has the Distractor rating, and his card as a singles wrestler fits in with other managers like LORD NEXUS, DARKOS, and KILLER QUEEN (managers who stayed technically active); he would simply have to give a roster slot to ANTAK. I know that Tom has said in the past that he has a particular idea each year as to the number of cards he wants active in the GWF. I think that would be only stumbling block to keeping ANTAK around: he would take up one more spot than Tom wants to have used. ANTAK is just so perfectly set-up to manage this team that i would be remiss if I didn't at least try.

I wouldn't mind him as a manager, but as a full-time wrestler he's got to go. Personally, I don't think every team needs a manager anway though. I don't use them in my fed. I think it adds that little 'take-charge' edge to Swarm's personality that he's the defacto leader of the Ani-Men. If you give them a manager, he loses that somewhat.

Anyone remember a guy named Euritar? Maybe Mark will put Antak in the CPC I don't know.

Every year there are people who want certain wrestlers/characters to stay around.
Look, in this thread we've actually seen a suggestion to have Incredible Badger come back and be a manager.
He hasn't been in the game for about 20 editions.
Each year Tom has a million great ideas for characters and he likes to move on from a character once the "steam" wears off.
I think Antak will be gone as well.
Tom got rid of Euritar when he was the champion in The Promoter. Mensar never got a full run in the GWF. And both of these guys are WAY better than Antak.
Not a malicious post here, but I think if you are a strict BTB player, I think you might want to get all you can out of Antak this year.

Yeah, and I think there will be more and more changeover if Tom really sticks to his guns about keeping the roster small. We will see more and more new faces and shorter careers. A good comparison for Euritar and Mensar in today are guys like the Ultimate Warrior or Brock Lesnar. They were both champs, but had relatively short careers. Not that this applies to Antak because he's actually had a decently long career, but I like the fact that some guys have really short careers.

I know ANTAK is probably gone, and it's not that I'm in love with the character, I was simply trying have a little fun with the SAVE ANTAK CAMPAIGN! I'm sure Swarm is on the $$ with this one, I actually thought he'd be gone w/ Minotaur this past year. So don't worry Payback, I take no offense, as long you realize I'm just playing (and I think making a somewhat valid point about WHY 'Tak could stay). I was also taking a little time to explain that our fed runs slightly different than most, sorry if it came off a little preachy.

I was just thinking and I may be wrong.... but you know what we haven't had? A entire group turn heel or face whatever. Um...the Gladiators? Not a full turn, maybe, but they went from reluctant members of the villain team feuding with faces to fan-favourite independents feuding with heels.

yeah alright they went alittle tweener or always were. The Glads have always been favorites of everyone (except the planets they enslaved :-) ) though. After I posted that I thought of a team who switched sides but now....... NOPE! My mind completely purged it again. So it has happened just forgot again who it wuz... again. :-) might have to break out the booklets because forgetting then rememberung then forgetting again is quite annoying.
