Well... as you know I'm a girl. As in GRRRRL! *lol* And I want to know what you all think of two female characters in aCe 2121? I think that it's time... and I think that they should be able to compete alongside the men for Essence. How about these for ideas? How about the woman that was murdered by Godsend as a part of the ritual to bring him to the Fifth Realm? She could be an unrested spirit that teams with ROC? How about a tough-ass Ravager female? Or a female member of the Blue Steel Gang (Hustler's younger sister?) Or howz about Paganaz finally gets his Heathen Queen? What do you all think about this?? I mean, guys are HOT... but is Krish Osk a chauvinist?? *lol* I KNOW that there has to be a reason to have females join aCe... and I am quite sure that Mr. Osk in all of his unending and undying creativity and loyalty can find them... I feel that if there is a place for a-holes such as the idiot Nemean and that dolt Rouser... then we can have some women. At least one. If there are no women in 2121, Mr. Osk, prepare to meet me in a Ravager Cell... and you 'd better bring a weapon (preferably something sharp) ... cos that's the only way ur gonna beat me down! Long Live Shakti! Women rule....! Down with the Evil Chauvinist King Osk!!!! MMD!

I still find women pretty pointless. And having two women face each other all year with no other opponents gets boring(Look at Sherri and Ida Mae in Legends). If aCe is ending after 2121 definitely no to the women. If not, maybe.

I hate to disagree with you steph, but I've always found women wrestlers as a waste. The character are often just extentions of male counterparts (like Thrash) or plot devices ( like Amazonia and Sweet Thing/Miss Liberty) If someone wanted to do a women's fed, that would be fine, but a few characters added on to feuds and a tiny self-contained division really just doesn't thrill me. Your ideas for female characters in aCe make sense, I'd just rather not have the cards spent in that manner. And just so you don't start calling me a chauvinist, I wouldn't want midgets either, for the same reason

I don't see it as a chauvnist thing.. wrestling is just traditionally a male sorta sport, and being a male myself, it works for me that way.
Like I said, a women's fed would be fine, its just a ultra- small division (like, less than 10 wrestlers) gets hard to use.
Heck, the tag teams are really just on the cusp of that.

I have yet to purchase any of the aCe sets, so my opinion probably won't mean much in this thread.
However, I am a big fan of the women wrestlers in the GWF and CPC. I have always dreamed of having a Birthday Bash type of set that was dedicated to female wrestlers. It would give us more options and allow us to truly operate a female division.
Having said that, I think the point that Wildfire and Troy are making is that aCe could end up being just a 3 edition "mini-series" if you will. That means there will only be a limited amount of cards to include in this series. They apparently don't use women wrestlers much, and I am sure many promoters don't.
I personally would love to have some female grapplers when I get around to ordering aCe. But since so many people would see that as "wasting" space in the game editions, I think it would have to be done as limited edition cards.
From what I have heard though, Hunger and Serpentine would fit in very nicely in aCe. If you write them into the storylines and then add in a couple female limited edition cards with the next set, you could have a nice little womens division to play around with.

OK, I'll put my 2 cents in. I like women wrestlers, and heck, in my match results (see Rocky's first aCe card posting in the fed forum) I have a couple bootleg female wrestlers and plan on bring a few more women in down the road. So I know I'm not a chauvenist, but I disagree with Steph that calling the other guys here that, just because they don't think they'll fit into the story line is Bull-shiite. It doesn't mean that they are pigs or anything, it's just their personal opinion, and they have a right to it! 'Nuff said, Ray

I have to admit, in the beginning I had no time for women wrestlers. Infact I never used them. But now I love them. It's not a big thing to handle them. If you have 6-8 women wrstlers in a fed, it works really well. Infact a few years back I made a bootleg set of 10 female wrestlers. ( some of you may still have them...I'm trying to find them). But I dont have women wrestling men. That I think is dumb!!

how about moolah wendy richter lailani kai all of the greats from the past Well, Steph, to be honest, that's all before my time.. I vaguely remember Wendy Richter feuding with Moolah when I first started watching WWE, and I remember GLOW a bit (which I thought was really goofy at the time, but I was a kid and my have be supremely influenced by my dad's opinion).. but really, the best of Women's wrestling I personally recall is Lita and Trish Stratus(and Chyna, but that was just wierd).. most women's stuff today is such complete cheesecake I flip the channel when the spots are on. I fully functioning women's fed with groups and storylines would be fine, and I'd check it out on its story merits... the drib and drabs in the GWF make me not want to see cards devoted to women in aCe. I respect that you disagree, but there's no need to dis me

I only want women cards if they are pregnant or cooking.
That's sarcasm.
For the most part.

Not to laugh and to encourage the chauvenism, but the image of Trisis in front of a stove cooking up a pot of brains is way too funny. ;D

Women wrestling is not somethig that was very interesting for me. I watched Wendi Ricter, Lei Lani Kai, The Jumping Bomb Angels ( who definately have a cool name), even Madusa against Aja Kong and Bertha. Not bad stuff, but certainly not something I'd have a specific hankering to see.
I'd be happy if the limited card space was utilized on a new game mechanic or a card that is good for the game. If that is a feamle character so be it. I do not think that there should be women wrestlers for the sake of having it.
And I'd hate to burst your bubble, but Shaak ti ate the business end of a lightsaber.

Slight Star Wars thread derailer:
Shaakti really rocked in the clone wars cartoon, I was pretty disappointed that she didn' t really have a roll in the movie..
Not to Mention that Quinlan Vos and Aayla weren't there to speak of either (maybe just to die, can't recall off hand) the comic they are in are some of Dark Horse's best stuff.
Now back to your regularly scheduled aCe discussion.

Back off Track!
Shaak Ti did rock in the cartoons and in the comics, she did have a small role in the movie- which is a deleted/ extra scene. She is killed in front of Obi Wan and Anakin . She was killed by her own lightsaber by General Grevious.
In the novelization, she is the newly appointed Darth Vader's toughest opponent at the Jedi Temple massacre.
Both Aalya and Vos were in the movie as well. Aalya's clones shot her dying person several times as she lay on the ground to make sure she would really die. "Master Vos" was mentioned by Obi Wan after saving the Chancellor.
Quinlan Vos did actually survive Order 66, and reunited with his son and purple haired girlie.

I recall the death scenes, but I wanted more!
Same with Vos.. it was all off camera...I suspect he's going to be the star of the TV show, if it really happens.
