I was wondering how y'all use these guys in singles matches (if at all)
Both guys are SO tag-oriented, (I've never liked re-rolling if I can help it) I haven't tried it yet... I'm leaning towards making Killer Instinct a -2 (probably a chop or bite)... Hit'em high/ Hit'em low leaving as is, and giving each a 0 finisher to replace Red Dawn.
Any thoughts?

most of the times if these guys are in matches against a singles star they still fight as a team! ive had darkness falls vs. Scorch in a handicapped several times. the specialists were so dominant in my fed that Shepard fueded with resurrection by himself ---and held his own while Scorch went against Krypt and Jakyyl by himself. i just had an early 2120 match where it was Hustler vs Darkness Falls vs Gheist in a 3 way falls count anyhwhere street fight. Gheist ended up sneaking in a pin on Huslter

Use these weirdos in tag matches, matey. I do... but their record is 10 wins and 40 losses in my aCe since they debuted in 2119... They win in spurts .... and now are in a feud with Sycophant and Master..... for a while before they catch onto the scents of NuBorn Destruction. In singles in my aCe... they are not so good. I have always pictured them as ONE organism... and not two entities. They are Paganax's chief henchmen.... Use them as you see fit.

10-40... wow that's pretty horrible (they've done decent, but not great for me so far... 3-5)
I think I'm going to keep them pretty exclusively as a team too, it just makes the most sense.

Never use them as singles. As a team they are tough. Granted they probably lose more than they win, but they never get squashed.

Darkness Falls has been pretty decent lately, but I agree with what has been said about them being "streaky". When I use them in singles, I always have one of the other at ringside, and possibly Paganax or Grovel at ringside as well. Like a pack a rabid dogs they'd be. Then when Krypt or Jackyll hit a tag team move, I'd use a distractor rating so they can pull of the double team without the ref catching it. After that, if no distractor rating can be used, then if they roll the double team, I roll their DQ to see if they'll get caught. If not, the move works. Then just keep playing normally. If I had a match like a steel cage, I'd just substitute the tag moves with something generic like a dropkick, clothesline, bodyslam, etc... and their tag finishers would be a (0). But that's just what I do, I think there are plenty of different ways to handle it, and like Tom would say...."It's up to you promoter!!!" *groan*

Darkness Falls is 0-3 so far in my fed. It sucks, too, because they're my favorite team. They've been in every match so far, but have never been able to put anyone away. If they don't hurry up and beat someone soon, Paganax will eat one or both of them.
I wouldn't think of using them alone, though. If I put one of them in a singles match, I'd probably have the other come down to ringside. I'd either make Hit 'Em High/Low and RED DAWN rerolls or DQ moves. I'd explain Killer Instinct by saying that the ringside ally distracted their opponent rather than fighting them to set up the move.

Darkness Falls are a team.....their main purpose in life is to serve Paganax by getting beat on so Paganax can become stronger thru their pain....in my fed they have served that purpose well as Paganax dethroned the almost unbeatable Murdok in a mostly one-sided victory for the Essence Championship.

I think I'll be going with subbing grovel in, as a just had an injury.
I agree that these guys just don't work by themselves.

Only if one is injured and even then I rarely do it. I don't know what to make of them honestly. On paper they don't seem like much but you get them in the ring working together and they become a real headache for anyone. They won the tag titles once in my fed but were stripped of them after one got hurt.
But the Specialists are the elite team in my fed still.

Okay, Darkness Falls is now 0-7 in tag action in my fed. They consistently put on the most entertaining matches on my cards, and almost always get a near-fall or two, they just can't quite get the win. I'm seriously thinking about having Paganax kill them if they don't get a win soon. I mean, literally. Just jump them after the loss that drives him over the edge and deliver like forty PAGAN VOIDS or so, then show up with a new Krypt and Jakyll the next week to see if they do any better than the old models. All their losing is making him grumpy.
