I'll be rolling him out in the pretty near future in my fed, and I'm excited for it. He'll definitely find his way into the fed in time for my third Commissioner's Challenge. On paper, it looks like he'll match up pretty well with the demon, so we'll see how it goes.
I'd never read this thread before, so the necromancy is appreciated, Neil. I find it interesting to see TM say that Avarice was downgraded, because I happen to think he's pretty fantastic as-is. If he was downgraded, then the original must have been off the charts.

Yeah to be honest, EXODUS, GODSEND, and AVARICE were all downgraded (Exodus the most) by Tom in the final editing stages.
HOWEVER, please keep in mind that Exodus is an "angel," Godsend is a "demon," and Avarice was a rookie sensation only a few "years" ago. There's no reason these characters can't get stronger one day.

I continue to be impressed as heck by it -- those 2 new Murdok and Aegis cards are awesome. Exodus has been somewhat mediocre in the ring for me, much to my disappointment, but Avarice has been dominant. Godsend too, but that didn't surprise me any.
