I was getting alot of bad vibes from that Koppenhaver kid in the last episode. He was talking about his dad and doing CPR on him when he was 13, crying, and saying he had nothing. Then the camera would show his EXTENSIVE body art. Those tattoos cost money. His attitude with Matt Serra. I don't know. I was routing for the silent farm boy who was strong with the force. You know there is no emotion only peace. Matt Hughes couldn't get in his head and twist him and he is never hanging around Mac Danzig's little cabal or the Matt Serra "team". Speer's face looked nasty after that fight. Maybe Speer and one other fighter Serra's team are to injured to continue into the next round. Honestly, Mac Danzig is a pro I have a hard time seeing him not making it to the finals. The guys I can see getting there with him are Tommy Speer, Ben Saunders, and George Sotiropoulos. The rest of them them didn't impress me much.

I don't get the passionate hate for Mac unless you sport your caps like Richie Hightower. Mac is probably on medication he acts like a few coke fiends I meet in rehab. Testy as hell. Mac, George, Tommy, and Matt are good TUF champions. The weakest being Matt. I've yet to hear very much of him or see any personality besides being Serra's boy. (Serra injured his back rolling with Matt.)

Well he's over rated for one thing. He has the same air Bisping had to him coming into the ultiamte fighter.
He was a big fish in a small pond (but even less than bisping was). He talks like he's already made it like a top star. He hasn't. King of the cage is the very def. of bush leagues my boy.

Like if you ever worked with someone who has five to seven years more experience then you at your job then you do and is in the same position as you. Mac's life isn't ginger and roses like Michael Bisping is. I don't know why I am defending him. PRobably cause your bashing him.

Tonight is the season finale of TUF 6. On a scale of 1-5 I'd give this year a 3. The semi-finals were set to see:
Mac Danzig (Team Hughes) vs. Matt Arroyo (Team Serra)
Tommy Speer (Team Hughes) vs. George Sotiropoulos (Team Serra)
No spoilers...watch what happens for yourself.
The Ultimate Fighter 6 Finale which shows the two finalists going for the UFC Contract airs this Saturday, December 8th at 9 PM EST on Spike TV.

Barrera vs. sanders should be a war. and the rest of the card is not too bad,, between this and the biggest WEC show in the history of the promotion it is a good week for free MMA.
would be curious how The other big fight in Vegas affects The UF finale

1-7?? I hope thats a typo... 1-6 is whats going on on my TV with Tommy Speer as the last to fight. Yeah...that was a typo. I remember before the season started airing (but was already finished) there was a preview segment on one of the Ultimate Fight Night's with both coaches talking about the then upcoming TUF 6 . Hughes was all pumped up during the segment while Serra seemed indifferent... the only way I could see that making sense would be if Speer & Danzig rip through everyone going forward. We'll see if that's at least plausible with tonight's impending Speer fight. I nailed it.

Once again the end product proves to be a success. I admire the UFC TUF Formula...no big name payouts were necessary to promote the brand, pull in casuals and net some sweet ad revenue. The pay scale on this one should be very low relative to ROI.

“THE ULTIMATE FIGHTER®: TEAM HUGHES VS. TEAM SERRA” FINALE DELIVERS 2.5 MILLION VIEWERS
Draws More Men 18-34, 18-49, and 25-34 Than Anything Else on Television in its Timeslot
NEW YORK, NY, December 11, 2007 - Spike TV’s live telecast of “The Ultimate Fighter®: Team Hughes vs. Team Serra” finale on Saturday, December 8 (9:00-12:12am) drew 2.5 million viewers and reached more men in the hard-to-reach demographics of 18-34, 18-49, and 25-34 than anything else on television (broadcast or cable) in its timeslot. The telecast peaked with an impressive 2.9 million viewers at 11:30pm despite head-to-head competition from the Mayweather-Hatton pay-per-view boxing event.
Based on the ratings, more young men preferred the epic battle between UFC® fighters Roger Huerta and Clay Guida to Russell Crowe’s epic battles in “Gladiator” on TNT or the incredible athleticism of “The Ultimate Fighter” victor Mac Danzig to Keanu Reeves as Neo in the “Matrix” on A@E on Saturday night.
Overall, the three-hour Spike TV telecast drew a 1.8 HH (1.7 million) rating with a 2.7 rating (769,000) rating with Men 18-34, a 2.8 rating (471,000) with Men 25-34, and a 2.2 rating (1.2 million) with Men 18-49 and 2.5 million viewers.
Saturday’s “The Ultimate Fighter: Team Hughes vs. Team Serra” finale at The Palms Resort and Casino in Las Vegas was headlined by a war between Roger Huerta and Clay Guida that will surely be one of the top candidates for “Fight of the Year.” After being dominated by Guida’s relentless style both on their feet and on the ground for the first ten minutes of the bout, Huerta stormed at his opponent at the outset of the final round and unleashed a torrent of strikes that sent Guida to the mat. There, he was able to submit Guida via rear naked choke 51 seconds into the third round, and remain unbeaten in the UFC.
Conversely, the finals of “The Ultimate Fighter” was a mostly one sided affair, with Mac Danzig making quick work of Tommy Speer, technique overcoming strength as Danzig was able to gain his opponent’s back and submit him via rear naked choke two minutes into the first round of their matchup. Danzig announced his plans to move down to the lightweight division after having his hand raised in the middle of the Octagon™ and being awarded a guaranteed six-figure contract with the UFC.
The highlight of the night’s undercard action featured another contender for “Fight of the Year,” a three round, seesaw affair between Jon “War Machine” Koppenhaver and Jared “J-Roc” Rollins. Both fighters left it all in the Octagon, trading strikes on their feet and going back and forth on the ground as each utilized a ground and pound attack. Two minutes into the final round, after Rollins seemed to have the fight won after rocking his opponent on the mat, Koppenhaver reversed position and rained down a series of blows which caused referee Steve Mazzagatti to halt the action. With both men bloodied and bruised, it was Koppenhaver who had his hand raised in victory to the thunderous applause of those in attendance.
