Penn is a jealous vindictive moron - What a strap !
All he did was cry about losing to Jens the whole frickin show - Just like Shamrock did with Tito when they were coaches, and yes, He only took the coach job to fight Jens, not to help the fighters - he was very hands off with no real advice or direction- Total non-role model !!!!

I agree with all picks but Berube. I don't know who Leonard Garcia is but it doesn't matter since he's facing "Lobsta!!"

Yea I don't know who Leonard Garcia is either, so I went with Lobsta....but if Leonard is decent he will probably win. Lobsta isn't very good.

Who's everyone got in the TUF finale? I think I am going to have to pick Manny although without much convicition MMA is impossible to predict...which is one of the reasons it's such a great sport for betting and winning lopsided underdog odds. Look at Jardine/Alexander...my friend locked Houston in when he was at +400. Jake O'Brien was +450 against Heath Herring. When Joe Lauzon beat Jens Pulver he was +550. Those are pretty sick odds...and there's usually a big win every show. There's no money in favorites like BJ and Diaz winning (which are easy predictions). You need to roll the dice on underdogs to make it worth the risk. Doug Evans at +500 is worth a shot. While it's unlikely...I'd love to see Dana's face collapse if his new poster boy gets knocked off by a virtual unknown on national cable. Brian Geraghty at +300 may also be worth a shot. Who has Matt Wiman ever beaten to have earned a -400? I know Wang came off horribly on the show...but at +400 he may be able to pull off a fluke...it's not out of the realm of believability that a lanky guy like Cole can be submitted. LWPD (TUF spent a ton of television time building up Corey Hill all season long...and then they don't even book him for the Finale...WTF?)

Corey Hill was injured while training with Jens at MFS, and was unable to be on the card.
Man I feel sorry for Manny. He came out like hellfire in the first round- I think he sapped a bit of Nate's will in that one. I cannot wait to see him back. Love the name "The Anvil"- by the way. I was totally impressed at the prefight clips of him climbing the two ropes, one in each hand, with no leg support.
It seemed that the heat between Jens and BJ was produced. They may not have liked each other, but two guys who "hate" each other do not love up on one another THAT much after a fight- and especially ask to train with them.
Gray Maynard was KTFO. You heard his head hit the mat. I really do NOT like him- first he ran out of the ring after losing to Nate without congralutaing him, and then all of the crap with his denial that he was KO'ed. Bro, the evidence is in your face, accept the truth!
And Paint you forgot Serra over St . Pierre and Sokoudjou over Noguiera- I do not know the line for Serra/ George, but Sokoudjou was a +1600 or so at one point.

A fun show last night. Doug Evans won the first round...but had no answer from back mount. Huerta got a bit exposed last night as not being 'quite as good' as they were hyping him up to be.
Leitis looked good with the BJJ clinic. Joe Lauzon has a bright future. It was a tough break watching Manny lose like that. It seems he'll be plagued with that handicap forever. A real shame. Maynard literally DDT'd himself into semi-consciousness...he was done!
BJ Penn looked in better shape last night then I've seen him look in years. If he's solved the conditioning riddle...I'd peg him as a favorite to steamroll through Hughes, GSP and everyone else at 170lbs. He's that good.

Prelim match notes from Bryan Alvarez:
Matt Wiman beat Brian geraghty quickly via ground and pound. Gina carano is here!
Leonardo Garcia beat Allan lobsta Berube via choke. First round
Cole miller beat andy wang. Virtually a karate kid crane kick then ground and pound
Rob Emerson went to a no contest with Gray Maynard. Maynard dominated round one. In the second round, Maynard used a sidewalk slam on Emerson, who then tapped. But at the same time, Mayanrd DDT'd himself on the mat and knocked himself out. The referee saw Emerson tap but the commission saw Maynard knock himself out. They had a discussion over what to do and it was called a no contest.
Joe Lauzon beat Brandon Melendez via triangle in second
Roger Huerta vs. Doug Evans will be first up live.
Evans won the first round. Evans outstruck Huerta, and late in the round got his back and was working a choke, although Huerta escaped.
Huerta came out strong in the second round, out striking Evans with punches and kicks. Evans took him down, but Huerta reversed, got Evans' back and threw punch after punch until ref Steve Mazzagatti stopped it.
Thales Leitis vs. Floyd Sword is up next.
Leitis twice used judo hiptosses to take Sword down. He controlled him on the second one and worked for an arm triangle choke submission late in the first round.
They are airing Gray Maynard vs. Rob Emerson next. After the match was over, they were building up a rematch.
Joe Lauzon vs. Brandon Melendez is being aired now.
Manny Gamburyan vs. Nate Diaz is next.
Gamburyan dominated the first round with constant takedowns. He got Diaz's back several times and was pounding him, and also had him in a guillotine early. Very good round one.
At the start of the round, Gamburyan shot in and his shoulder went out, either separated or a broken collarbone and Gamburyan had to tap and end it in seconds, so Diaz wins due to the injury.
They are showing Cole Miller vs. Andy Wang now.
B.J. Penn vs. Jens Pulver is up.
First round went to Penn. He scored with two high slams and went for an armbar and a triangle. He even did better standing. Pulver did a good job hanging in and even hit a few punches late.
Penn took him down and dominated him the entire round. He got his back, pounded, Pulver turned in and got pounded some more. Finally Penn finished him with a choke. Penn completely outclassed him but Pulver did at least a good job of hanging in under trying circumstances for nearly 9 minutes.
