www.chuteboxe-usa.com/The Chute Boxe official website is reporting that #1 PRIDE “Middleweight” (Light-Heavyweight) Mauricio “Shogun” Rua has comes to terms with the UFC and may participate in the upcoming event in Belfast, Ireland. - Mauricio "Shogun" Rua has signed a contract with the UFC and may participate in UFC 72. For those of you not familiar with Chute Boxe academy, it is the main MMA training camp out of Brazil and home to Shogun and fellow PRIDE fighter Wanderlei Silva. If this turns out to be true, it would add some major excitement to an otherwise bland UFC 72 card. However it does raise some questions about the future of PRIDE. The deal between the UFC & PRIDE is taking longer than expected and since the announcement this will be the second major star (the other being Rodrigo “Big Nog” Nogueria) the UFC has signed away. What will this mean for the proposed MMA “Superbowl” that Dana White was hinting at? Is Zuffa going to disband PRIDE altogether? Unfortunately it doesn’t appear any of these questions will be answered anytime soon.

I've heard rumors that Pride is dragging their feet with the contracts as a way to give DSE more time to pull the fat out of the fire and reclaim their org.
Well in that case.. I'm honestly happy the ufc.. seems to be fish gutting the Pride product more and more for the best talent. GET ME ARONA DANA! PLEASE! I've been a really good UFC fan/drone! PLEASEEEEEE! (lol)
