So, it's one week out. Should we start making our Shamrock/Ortiz 3 predictions?

I guess the question really is: Do we NEED to make predictions on Ortiz/ Shammy 3?

Here's the contest for Ortiz/Shamrock. You get a 50/50 chance just like picking a winner.
Will Shamrock make it out of Round 1?
I say no.

I think we see Ortiz take him down and smash him again.

This should be a very easy win for Ortiz, Hell Shamrock fighting anyone with a REAL name and record should end up the same!!!
Ortiz/Shamrock 3 should be nothing special I think everone should focus on the undercard for entertainment

I think Shamrock will shock the world. . . And make it to the opening seconds of round 2.

Shamrock has no chance. Many people I talk to say that he's gonna do it this time...everyone counts him out. I tell them that he's going down, and that he really isn't gonna make a splash. If he does win, that's great, but he's slipping. This is just a rubber match to please the PPV people who felt they got hosed. At least it's free, and the rest of the card looks great. Am excited to see Matt Hamill and how he does.

Tito will bash in Ken's face (again) and I will be cheering him on while he does it....I can't stand Ken.

I'm really looking forward to tonight's card. A part of me is hoping that the main event ends fast so that we can see some of the preliminary bouts.

Big night for Team Punishment as not only is the Captain Tito Ortiz in action...but so are junior members Matt Hammil and Kendall Grove. I'll be shocked if TO works the corner before his fight. as it would show supreme confidence. This is also a nice test for Herman. All four of these fights are set to air.

Spoilers for anyone who DVRed it.
Man, could have made some money on that Herman fight. Grove looked impressive. As weak as that division is, he'll be in line for a shot soon. Classy ending to Tito/Shamrock. All in all, one of the better Fight Nights IMHO.

A really fun show. Hamill is a stud...a dominant wrestler with tremendous strength. While his stand up could use some work and his ground game is one dimensional...he showed a genuine killer instinct and has the type of work ethic that leads me to believe he has upside potential...not to mention a a very powerful jab.
Herman is a tough kid who just got caught. Props to Jason MacDonald for showing good transitional work and making the most of his opportunity. Kendall Grove gets better every time I see him. His wrestling base has improved markedly and I really dug his short elbow techniques. A young and very lanky guy for his division who's only going to get better.
Tito showed once again that he has incredible ground and pound from the guard. In the last fight it was elbows that took KS out...this time he threw some wicked upper cuts that set Ken up for the kill. When you can be that effective while controlling position there's no reason to even try to pass.
I felt bad for Ken Shamrock. Like any sport MMA is a young man's game and he hasn't been able to compete at an elite level for quite a few years now. Age and injury will eventually do that to any athlete. While the TUF 3 show hurt his public image...Shamrock has for the most part been an excellent ambassador over the years and has drawn a great deal of revenue and positive publicity for the sport. I wish him well with his future endeavors.
LWPD (Tito Ortiz's free ride days are over...now it's put up or shut up time against Chuck...he'll need the performance of his career to pull that one off)

Marcus Davis b Forrest Petz with 2 seconds left in the first round when Petz tapped to a guillotine that Davis held for nealry 45 seconds. Most of the fight was standing. Both were busted open, Davis was bleeding enough that there was fear they'd have to stop the fight.
Thiago Alves b John Alessio via 30-27 straight across the board decision. Decent fight with back-and-forth action. Alves dominated with low kicks.
Rory Singer b Josh Haynes 29-28 across the board. Singer won the first round, nearly knocking Haynes out with a high kick. Singer then gassed. Haynes won the second round, and nearly finished Singer with ground and pound. Third round both were gassed. Haynes was the aggressor but Singer controlled it and did more damage. Haynes had a terrible cut above his nose and it was one of the bloodiest fights you'll see.
Tony DeSouza b Dustin Hazelett with a Kimura in the first round. Hazelett went for a triangle early and DeSouza escaped.
Nathan Marquardt b Crafton Wallace early in the second round by taking him down and getting a rear naked choke. Good fight.
Strong show so far.
Matt Hamill vs. Seth Petruzelli opens the TV show. First round Hamill dominated with a takedown and ground and pound. He was swollen bad under the right eye. Round two saw Petruzelli catch Hamill going for a takedown with a good punch. But most of the round was Hamill, scoring two takedowns and basically using his elbow to rub his face. Petruzelli has a cut now on the bridge of his nose. I think Hamill is up 20-18. Petruzelli was bleeding badly, but caught Hamill with a spin kick to the head which busted Hamill up under his right eye. At one point John McCarthy brought Petruzelli to the doctor to check the cut. The doctor seemed to want to stop it but Petruzelli begged for it to continue so they let it go. Aside from the kick, it was Hamill's round as he kept taking Petruzelli down. He didn't do much but rub his elbow into the cut, making it worse. Hamill really didn't look that impressive except his wrestling, but should get a 30-27 call. Scores were 29-28, 30-27, 29-28 for Hamill.
Ed Herman vs. Jason MacDonald is up now. MacDonald won with a triangle very quickly. This was a good ground match, with several reversals. MacDonald got the triangle for a long time and was elbowing Herman's head and bloodied him up while he had him in the triangle.
Kendall Grove vs. Chris Price is next up. Grove was able to take Price down and dominated positioning. Late in the round he started unloading with elbows from the top. Price was unable to get out of the bottom and was taking them. Pride blocked most of the elbows and I thought the stoppage was early, but he tapped himself.
Only Ken Shamrock vs. Tito Ortiz is up. The same match as the last time, only Ken lasted 2:23 this time. Ortiz took him down, and it took a while as Ken defended a little, but then Ortiz rocked him on the ground. Ken wanted to shake hands and Ortiz walked off, but eventually they did shake hands.

Hamill has insane power. That leg takedown towards the end of the fight was great. And just think the guy hasn't even been involved with MMA for a year. I think we're definately looking at a future star here.

Well the WWE might need to worry now. Ortiz/Shamrock did a 3.1 last night.

WWE is going downhill fast, and has been for years. They shot themselves in the foot with all of the fast action stuff and outrageous storylines.
NOw people are bored and are looking other places.
