Nogeura vs Barnett Prediction

ANTONIO RODIRIGO NOGEURA VS JOSH BARNETT

ROUND 1
After a brief exchange from standing, Nogeura shoots in toppling Barnett to the mat. From there the two battled for control in a back and forth struggle for control. Nogeura after coming out on top wastes no time and locks in a partial armbar. Though Barnett defended Noguera got his back and went for the rear naked choke. Barnett again fended off the Brazilian and got back to guard. Showing amazing power and skill Barnett exploded out from the bottom but was caught by an Anaconda choke before he could fully escape. After forcing Barnett back to his guard Noguera slipped into the mount and postured up to reign down blows. Seeing his chance Barnett bucked up and wound up in control. Looking for some pay back Barnett poured on the submission attempts with leg locks and armbars. Though Nogeura defended Josh was able to set him up for some clean shots from the guard. Every time Noguera would attempt to sweep Barnett would land a crisp right hand. Then after a failed Kimura Nogeura slipped out and immediately got the rear mount. As Nogeura slipped his hooks in Barnett rose to his feet knocking the Brazilian off. Josh backed off and motioned for Nogeura to stand. As Nogeura charged in Barnett sidestepped and landed a solid right hand to the body.
ROUND 1: BARNETT 10-9

ROUND 2
Barnett came out with huge overhand right that landed solid onto Nogeura’s head. As Nogeura stumbled back Barnett locked on with the clinch and slammed the Brazilian onto his back. Barnett then peppered Nogeura with short strikes and managed to stay in control. From there Barnett went for failed ankle lock but remained in control. After a failed Kimura Barnett changed his game plan and landed some solid shots from Nogeura’s guard. As Nogeura turned Barnett took his back looking for the choke. Before too long Nogeura slipped out and gained control. Fueled by the change of momentum Nogeura unloaded with some blows from the top that scored cleanly. As Barnett covered up Nogeura slipped on a near armbar, which he transitioned into a triangle choke. After a hard fought struggle Barnett broke free but soon found himself in an Anaconda choke. Barnett escaped once again but Nogeura leapt onto his back. Barnett rolled and broke free just as the bell sounded.
ROUND 2: BARNETT 10-9

ROUND 3
In a repeat of last rounds opening seconds Barnett unloads another overhand right that once again lands flush onto Nogeura’s skull. As blood poured from Nogeura’s head Barenett launched off a series of punches looking to capitalize on the moment. Nogeura recovered quickly and latched onto Barnett and tumbled him to the mat. Knowing he was behind in the scorecards Nogeura was all over Barnett with submission after submission. Though Barnett defended the effort was taking its toll. As Barnett began to tire Nogeura landed more and more blows from the mount. Finally after taking too much punishment Barnett scrambled looking to escape. Before Barnett could break free Noguera locked on the Anaconda. After barely escaping Barnett fell back to his guard where Nogeura finished off the round peppering him with strikes from the guard.
ROUND 3: NOGEURA 10-9

Me, too. I was with a group of five of us and we all said on balance Nog won the match, but because of that knee bar at the end, Barnett won. If the match had been 10 seconds longer, Nog would've had to submit or had a broken leg. I'm sure the judges saw it that way, or at least 2 of them did.

Barnett impressed the heck out of me last night, though.

I love Barnett, he seems like a cool guy.

I did like a couple years ago in his first fight with CroCop... Mirko said he was going to submit him and Barnett says "Oh yeah? I'd like to see that" with a smirk on his face." Minutes into the match he's tapping haha... sure it was a fluke, but it was rad nevertheless.

Thanks for taking it in good chear Curling76. The irony of why I don't like Cro Cop is some what the same reason I'm not big on Josh. At one time online to many people expected (insisted) i kiss cro Cop's (censor).

I get that vibe out of Josh.. and yes the man's a clown, but oh well. The drug use more than anything else annoys me.
