Brazilian Kick tinyurl.com/yugdjzLWPD (this originated from kicking arts such as Kyokushin Karate and TKD and found broad visibility in K-1 under their rules format...today it is now becoming more prevalent in MMA circles...make study of the angling of this variant of the Thai Kick which when done to the head rises above guard and then maximizes the use of downward force...can also be used to the outer/inner thigh and ribs/liver...one of the best examples of the Brazilian Kick 'done right' can be found in this highlight video of Glaube Feitosa...give this a drill the next time you hit the bags)

The Contender: Muay Thaitinyurl.com/3ajslw
LWPD (looks good...I'll have to check on English language availability)
"Mark Burnett is kicking "The Contender" franchise into a whole new sport. He's launching Skein's first international spinoff, featuring the kickboxing discipline of Muay Thai in Thailand, in partnership with Imagine OmniMedia.
"The Contender Muay Thai" will begin production later this year.
Sixteen fighters will compete for the ultimate prize of becoming "The Contender."
The series will air on Channel 5 in Thailand; discussions also are ongoing with networks in Asia, Europe and Latin America.
"Our format will fit perfectly with the international phenomenon of Muay Thai, and we have plans to bring the series to several other countries to orchestrate a true worldwide competition," Burnett says."

Houston Alexander vs Chuck Parmaleetinyurl.com/2g5cs2 LWPD (this was from a small indy show...date unknown)
What mess that was. Houston claimed that Parmalee was heavily greased and thus cheating. Refusing to concede position on the re-start killed the fight. I like Houston and see a lot of potential in him...but he still needs to show he can hang on the ground.

Nate is long and lanky just like his brother. Props to the kid...it takes major size balls to get into the cage.
