Hey Tom
The People that plan on being at the con are already working on or getting ready to work on wrestlers for the Promoter Madness
Question Are there any specific rules for the wrestlers stats?
I am guessing that no Chaos like cardsNo cards that are to powerful
Just wondering if there are anything else?

I've wondered that myself.

I'm pretty sure you can make them as powerful as you like since they will not be a part of the regular continuity. Mark has said that he's willing to "possibly" use a card from this set, so making it god-like would probably disqualify it from being used.

In the next-to-last Promoter, Tom said you could not make an absurdly ridiculous card--"one that would beat Endgame in four moves," I think the phrase was.
A Chaos-level card is probably fine...what I think Tom had in mind was guys who had three +4 finishers, -4 on Agility and Power, and four comebacks on Level 2 Defense. Nobody wants to use a card like that, anyhow.
On the subject of Promoter Madness, is anyone planning on making a card that *isn't* a wrestler? I seem to recall Todd considering making one for the Tournament Master, which I think would be very cool.

I am unable to find that promoter in that tribute to the lumbermills I call a desk, but I think there was mention of working with Tom on the card stats. I may be wrong, but I hope there is some editing input. I just have this weird nightmare of 15 Chaos' walking out of The Sheldon House.

I seem to recall Todd considering making one for the Tournament Master, which I think would be very cool. I think that it is my duty to come up with 1 non-wrestler card for the set. If I do win, I will probably come up with a few concepts and have a poll on the site to determine what my card will be. Tournament Master and Announce team are the two concepts that come to mind, but I will be thinking of other concepts if I am lucky enough to win one of the spots.

If I win I'm going with plan A and creating OVERTIME (based on T.O.) and he is going to have that chart where he can and will cause trouble with his "team"...
he will be above average...good agility, solid power, a fun card to use...but he will be a mid-carder...
just a really cool character that is a lot of fun to play and he'll get more W's than L's, but he'll be upper-mid-card at best.
I never understood the pride one takes in making a stacked card, like everybody can't do that...
It's a lot more challenging and rewarding to create a cool, fun to use, balanced character than it is to slap a bunch of finishers, add 1's, no downs, and a low pin on a card and call it "creative".

Swarm, that is actually a great idea about OVERTIME (causing trouble within his team. Very nice idea. I like that and would be one of the first in line to pick that up! Would be interesting to see... And you are so right about making a balanced card...it's a challenge to do that. Very nice post.

The character i am working on has a twist that involves the Fans...of course there is a tie to a former GWF and Current CPC character (i am pretty sure he is current but since i don't play the CPC i am not sure and i am too lazy to go check right now), but it wasn't intentional. Once i got the creative thought flowing everything just kinda came together...and it just happened.
The stats make him competitive, but the twist can really turn the match...

I will definitely reserve the right to edit the playing cards to make sure cards conform to all card rules (or if they don't, why not) and to ensure that the stats don't stretch the game beyond normal limits (in other words stacked cards). Other than that, the more creative the better! I'm looking forward to it. ;D

So I'm guessing my new card "Mr. 18 Finishers and -17 pin rating" would be a no go?
