I totally agree that the CPC suffers from its lack of a jump-on point. And it has been discussed with Fed HQ. We'll have to see if anything ever turns up from it. Are there any plans to do a CPC New Beginning Box Set, including all playing cards you need to play CPC 2121 and featuring the new card style?

I'd jump aboard. Ace appeals to me, but not nearly as much as the CPC.

After ten CPC game editions, it would be the right time.

The key is you'd need to do a relaunch. Otherwise you're going to be talking a chunk of cards(around 45 I think). That'd be a fair chunk of change.

What about a box set for 2112?

The seeds were planted for New Beginning with the Galaxy-wide depression angle. The Cosmic Battle, while involving people that had debuted in the previous few years, just sort of happened in 2118. It's not the hardest thing to do to clear out 15 or so people when some people are on the backside of their careers and the idea of a depression is already in place.

There aren't any plans at the moment, especially considering that next year I'll be rethinking which series we'll be releasing. aCe was easy to do a start-up for...it had just begun. The CPC is a far more developed fed and needs a New Beginning-type housecleaning (not in the works, see above). The good news is there's about a year to consider alternatives. I've already enjoyed the insights shared about an all-Aethran edition (listed under GWF topics). And in the midst of this we'll be releasing a wild PROMOTER MADNESS edition too!

Actually from looking at the cards a few weeks ago, it would be really easy to do a CPC pack. I'm going by memory, but basically its the 2117-2120 and SE cards that cover everyone but Velar and the Collector (which will both probably be written out of the CPC shortly). I think that when the CPC is released in the fall, serious consideration should be given to a package deal on it, considering it will just be existing sets and not individual cards.

It would work. Just depends on how long the CPC has. If Tom's going to keep it around, then it most definitely needs a boxed set.

Right. If I decide to keep running the CPC beyond 2007 then a collector's pack might make sense. But like I said I want to reevaluate the CPC and aCe next year along with other possible COTG mini-series.

Id love to see a collectors pack for it... I hated that older wrestlers where brought back, only because I had to go into storage boxes to dig them out to use. =)
Or revamp it so we get new art work for the cards...
