Yeah, I believe political figures fall under public domain, basically. I believe this is true. Shortly after Jesse Ventura became Governor of Minnesota, one of the worst TV movies of all time was made about him. You might remember it because Raven and Goldberg were in it. The week after it aired, Ventura appeared on "The Tonight Show" and explained that he didn't give anyone permission to make the film, and there was nothing he could do about it because he was a "public figure" now. It was funny as Leno told him the movie pretty much sucked and Ventura didn't argue with him.

So we could have a Jesse Ventura card?

An official card would be great! But until that happens I have been using Mark T's bootleg and it is a great card.

I remember that movie, Bri. and yeah, it sucked. It wasn't even accurate. Forget about the fact that Goldberg wasn't even around when Jesse debuted, his first match was a DQ loss, not a win. It's like they just took the name and made everything else up as they went.

I know we're moving away from the topic of the thread, but Tom the vintage guy I would really love to see is "Tiger Man" John Pesek... who was inducted into the Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame.
It's no secret that I have been a pretty big mark for him as I posted a bootleg for him on the legends list and use him frequently. The records I've read of him on these old-time message boards say that he's the real deal, a hooker, a ripper, and police man for Ed "Strangler" Lewis and Joe Stecher. He once beat an Olympic silver medalist and I think a pro boxer in legit contests, when they expressed interest in going after the pro wrestling title, and story goes that he had Joe Stecher beat for the title once (he had Stecher pinned, but the referee refused to count. So then he forced Stecher to submit to a wristlock, only for the decision to get overturned a few days later for an illegal "choke.")
So Tom, please sign John Pesek if at all possible.
