Tom;
It would appear that a group of guys have gotten together to create a wrestling card game, and they are using this message board to create an advertising hotbed.
Many of us who are fans of your product noticed the lack of substance, the over-abundence of COTG-bashing and the "Duh, me a spammer" tactics of the numerousn new "guests" to the COTG message board (who only want to praise the new game).
I wonder if you have noticed, and how you feel about the comments, obviously aimed at COTG. I also wonder if this is acceptable.
I for one have NO problem with competition (hey, look what it's done for the wrestling, videogaming and comic industries), but I do have a problem with underhanded tactics, and I will vigorously defend any one or anything I respect.
Pardon the vent. I would love ANY responses.

Of course you're right RingsYde. I saw the game and thought it looked very similar to Tom's (although there wasn't a close up of the cards)
LIke you said, I don't mind competition, but this board isn't the place for it. This is a board for COTG game fans, etc.

Sometimes being the "fair-minded-objective" individual that i am blinds me from seeing how wonderful Swarm's direct method of stating things is so much better in certain situations...
But the peace-loving arbitrator in me wants to slap him every now and then! (now is NOT one of those times.) (anyone seen my medication...i feel like i am being torn in two directions at once!)

It must be late for me, as this is quite obviously the most asinine post i have ever put on this board... must be that i tried to be fair and balanced when i looked at the other game and i am now tired having tried to do so...

Thank you for asking my opinion, but the final say belongs to Chris Ingersoll and other people who run this discussion board. This board is not owned by Filsinger Games. I think Chris and the gang do a great job and I am eternally thankful that this board exists. I will leave these decisions in their more than capable hands.
Thanks again for the concerns expressed by loyal promoters. I haven't yet read any of the posts for a new game, but our record for over 20 years speaks for itself....we have nothing to fear from competition. I've seen many wrestling games come and go over the years.

Yeah... they're welcome to post here as long as they don't cause problems. It's not like they're going to win any converts from this crowd. The "duh, me a spammer" posts have actually been pretty rare from what I've noticed. But I'll do what I can to restrict the advertising. Right now I'm considering that game to be a bootleg version put into the Transevolver and gone horribly, horribly wrong. I also expect it to have the same life expectancy of a Plot Device victim, although they clearly have several future sets already lined up.

I think that competition is good especially in such a small, niche marjet that CotG is in.
I was truely interested in looking at that game until I read some unsavory references to a certain "absurd beer and pretzel" game I have called my own for a very long time.
They promoted their game by derailing other. Brilliant strategy!
But totally uncalled for.
My interest was lost, and the gloves came off. I have been nice and cordial so far, but the rule breaker in me really wants to come out.
I say let them stay and try to ptormote there "cooler and more realistic" game. It is most amusing.
